Together with other machines, we are completing the assembly of 8 Flat Bed Crawler Tractor, with a special version of Fassi Front Crane, equipped with double hydraulic actuators, suitable to work on steep slopes. As you know all cranes are designed to work in perfect flat floor, but this technology allows to work in slopes because it doubles the rotating force. They will be equipped with Generator and Autmatic Welding. This is another example of our ability to create machines with specific requests from the customer. New world record for Scheuerle SPMTs USA-based heavy load logistics provider Fagioli used 800 Scheuerle SPMT axle lines to transport an offshore wind turbine installation vessel weighing more than 23,000 tonnes. The wind work vessel, weighing 23,000 tonnes, was transferred to sea by 800 axle lines of SPMT. The vessel was moved from port facilities in Texas, USA, onto three barges from where it was subsequently launched into the water. In the process, Fagioli set three world records: for the largest number of axle lines under one load, the heaviest weight moved by SPMT axle lines and the heaviest load on wheels transferred onto barges. The company used 28 power pack units to move the 23,163 tonne ship, known as Charybdis. “The record is proof of our SPMTs´ excellent operational performance and innovative strength of our customers,” said Filippo Baldassari, managing director of TII Group. “We at TII Scheuerle are immensely proud of the fact that our products have made such a milestone possible in the heavy-load industry. “The new record not only proves the superb performance of our SPMTs but it also impressively demonstrates the tireless innovative strength and determination of our customers. We look forward to continuing to achieve new heights of performance together and shaping the future of heavy-load logistics.” US energy company, Dominion Energy, had the Charybdis built in the Seatrium AmFELS shipyard in Texas. The Charybdis is the first vessel of its kind to comply with the Jones Act requirements. This regulation stipulates that all transportation between American ports may only be provided by vessels that were built in the States and owned by US citizens who hold an appropriate transportation licence. This also applies to the transport of people and goods to offshore wind turbine facilities. [#NewMilestone] 🎯 A new subsea processing milestone! Together with Curtiss-Wright Corporation, we completed the qualification process of an innovative all-electric seabed barrier fluid-less pump. This unprecedented technology will enable the subsea injection of treated sea water into a reservoir, thus extending the lifecycle of subsea fields. While the conventional pumping system features a barrier fluid which serves as coolant, lubricant and insulation, the technology developed by Saipem and Curtiss-Wright is based instead on an innovative design whereby the subsea pump is cooled and lubricated by the sea water itself, while the motor is protected by a canned casing suitable for deepwater applications. The absence of the barrier fluid avoids the need for its constant replenishment and the risk of sea water contamination. This milestone is a testament to our investments in innovation to extend the life of assets in the subsea sector and to make offshore operations safer and more sustainable.
