Exciting News! Ultromics, an AI-driven health tech company from Oxford, has teamed up with Pfizer to validate its EchoGo® Amyloidosis algorithm for detecting cardiac amyloidosis. This breakthrough technology, leveraging deep learning on routine ultrasound scans, aims to identify the disease early, crucial for optimal treatment. Cardiac #amyloidosis results from the accumulation of abnormal proteins within the heart, impairing its ability to pump blood. Over time, the build-up of these proteins causes the heart muscle to stiffen, eventually leading to heart failure. With EchoGo, #AI can notify clinicians of disease presence and offer an early warning, which is critical to help slow disease progression.
