Designing a space that will accommodate those who will use it is the main objective of looking at building design through a DEI lens. To close out Pride Month, our Out+Allies employee resource group gathered to discuss ways to think inclusively when designing building spaces - from offices to labs to cleanrooms. Whether it's how color usage can be disruptive or exclusive to considering how sound may affect a neurodivergent individual to how glass stairs can make people uncomfortable, these seemingly small details can make a huge difference when it comes to creating inclusive and accessible workspaces for all people. #PrideMonth #Pride #DEI #CRBLife

I love being part of an ERG that hosts these kinds of discussions! It was great to meet some new faces across the company and collaborate on some design opportunities together, and it sounds like we'll have to get started on planning our next installment of this series. Thanks to all who participated!

Thank you to Philip Westermann and the Out+Allies group for hosting such an educational and insightful discussion! As someone who has zero design experience, you really opened my eyes to how much careful thought and consideration you give to every element of a space, and I know that your inclusive design is appreciated by so many!

Great discussion. Always enlightening to hear viewpoints and perspectives as to what contributes to - or potentially detracts from - inclusive design. Thanks for moderating, Philip Westermann!
