What’s it like to see an Intuitive site grow from 230 to 4,000 employees in a decade? We asked Carlos Aguirre, VP of Manufacturing Operations for North America, who’s had a front row seat to this transformation—and who saw its potential as soon as he joined. “We had an opportunity to match the talent in Mexicali with the vision of the business—to grow into a true manufacturing company. I knew it was possible.” The 4,000th employee will certainly experience a different company. The site has expanded from one building to a whole manufacturing campus where employees build 95% of the accessories and instruments distributed worldwide. But the spirit and culture of the site have remained the same. “We have always been fully committed to our mission,” Carlos says. “Every decision is made with the customer in mind. And we want everyone to be comfortable and happy here; we don’t have time for politics. We just want to support our people.” Of course, growing successfully also means being nimble and adaptive. As Carlos explains: “It’s dynamic, we’re evolving, and our teams are telling us what they need to be most effective. We’re listening.” Carlos is most proud of the way his team has met every challenge asked of them on this journey. “The main reason behind our growth is the team here. We owe it to their talent, their experience, and their commitment to continuous improvement.” Congrats to the entire Mexicali team on this amazing milestone. If you want to be part of the next 1,000 new roles in Mexicali, we are hiring: https://lnkd.in/egwdCS2H #WeAreIntuitive

**Cross-industry sharing** Reflecting on the week as it comes to a close. Highlight would be the sharing session with the regional #communications team for STMicroelectronics. Former colleague, turned good friend Vanessa Wan invited me to share on a topic that is close to my heart - #thoughtleadership. Throughout my career, I’ve seen `thought leadership' in various shapes and forms... depending on the company, industry and where a market/ country is at. Always guided by a meaningful purpose - be it "Solving the world's toughest problems" at GE (back in the day), "Towards a connected, safer, more secure world" at Honeywell, "Touching lives, improving life" at Procter & Gamble, to GE Vernova’s `Energy to change the world’… there is always a #socioeconomic need/ challenge-turned-opportunity to position the voice of a company well. What are some #buildingblocks to a sound thought leadership strategy? 1) Identify industry or socioeconomic development challenge or gap 2) What is your/ company’s position/ voice – start somewhere even if in small ways, but BE AUTHENTIC! 3) Who is your audience? – how and where will you reach them? Eg. industry forums, conferences, advocacy platforms, media - online or traditional. 4) Practicalities – Who are your spokespeople? Are they well-trained? What does an outreach program look like? Cadence? How to measure success? Thanks again Vanessa Wan and the APAC Comms Team at ST Microelectronics. I learned a lot from our session, and I hope you found my sharing in some way, beneficial. Can't wait to see what magic you and your team will weave soon! #publicrelations #PR #marketing #B2B

It is definitely true that operators who are at home with; advanced MS office, solid web app fundamentals and basic IT functions, do better in a modern broadcast facility today. Imagine Communications systems with remote and cloud architectures require even more of engineering staff. Any one of those 'tech' talents used to get you a living wage job in many industries. In 2024 you need all 3 as basic to succeed in day to day technical media operations. It is also true that Disney and ESPN Technology, DC3, has done a great job of hiring really solid young talent to run its Imagine systems. The future is in very good hands here.

Here we go! 🚀🌍 Building on the success of our "Question Today, Create Tomorrow" campaigns, we’re thrilled to launch a new series that shines a light on the incredible work our colleagues are doing across the globe! At Deutsche Telekom, we’re not defined by our job titles—we’re defined by our passion to create, innovate, and make a difference. It’s incredible to see how every individual, no matter their role, contributes to shaping the future of this company and beyond. 🌍 What really makes me proud? It’s seeing the energy, pride, and dedication of our people. They’re willing to step forward, share their stories, and showcase the impact they make, day in and day out. This is what sets us apart—a team driven by purpose. As a young leader in HR, my focus is on creating an environment where every person feels empowered to bring their best self to work. A place where innovation thrives, and where everyone understands that their work has a lasting impact. That’s the kind of workplace I want to help build, one that’s connected by shared values and common goals. So here’s my statement: "I’m not an architect. Yet, I design the talent blueprint for our future success." What’s yours? I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💬⬇️ Tim Jasper Rohlfs Thorsten Mueller #QuestionTodayCreateTomorrow

Interesting insights into the Executive Protection budget allocations for some High Net Worth individuals. The critical part is that the expense is managed properly and that the service aligns to the client's expectations. The proper use of technology, intelligence and proactive measures are often ignored in favour of physical and human resources. This remains an interesting dynamic that changes regularly and that remains a focus within our space.

💼 Security Budgets for Top CEOs Worldwide: Why They Run So High 💰 Ever wonder why the security budgets for top executives are often much higher than for most other clients? It’s not just about having CPOs or fancy vehicles—there are a lot of logistical and operational expenses involved that can drive up costs quickly, especially when protecting high-profile figures at global events. 💡 For example: - Meta spends $14 million annually on Mark Zuckerberg’s security. - Elon Musk averaged $145,000/month on security from 2015 to 2018. - Apple spent $820,000 last year on Tim Cook’s protection. - Amazon allocates $1.6 million/year to guard Jeff Bezos. 🔍 What goes into securing a top CEO? - Full-time executive protection teams 🛡️ - Local experts joining for on-the-ground intel or capabilities 🌍 - Vehicles and private jets 🚗✈️ coordination - Counterintelligence procedures 🔐 - Risk assessments and reconnaissance - Operational costs, including accommodations for the team, flight, food and so on - Medical and Security emergency response services Securing top executives involves a multi-layered approach that covers everything from detailed planning to on-the-ground execution, and the costs reflect the complexity of ensuring their safety. 💬 What other expenses do you know of ❓ #ExecutiveProtection #CEOProtection #SecurityPlanning #RiskManagement #Logistics #HighProfileEvents #CloseProtection #CorporateSecurity #TopCEOSecurity #TravelSecurity
