Luxe hotelier Banyan Group and developer Rafael Reyes are partnering to build an oasis on the Bahamian island of Bimini, only 48 miles off the coast of Miami, FL.⁠ ⁠ “When New Yorkers take off in a seaplane or helicopter — they go to the Hamptons. I’m trying to create that same concept in a Caribbean fashion.” ⁠ The planned community called “Rockwell Island” will include 54 waterfront mansions — each with a pool, 90-foot-plus dock, and garages custom-built to fit Moke jeeps.⁠ A series of dining and beach clubs will also come to the island, with a completion date scheduled for early 2025.⁠ ⁠ (via Bloomberg News)
