Black History Month (Oct 2024) - A call for some ideas and support! 📣   We are helping support an event at the Outernet London during Black History Month. It is BA Diversity Media Inc initiative with the support of Young Creators UK who are curating it.   We are looking for content, images and videos of Great British Black Heroes, who fall into the categories of #activism, #culture, #knowledge, #politics, that we plan to display on the Outernet screens throughout October. The title of this compilation is: ‘They walked, so that we could Run’.   The Brief: they need to fit into the following categories . . . 📣 Activism/Activist - activists, politicians, innovators, trailblazers 🏛️ Culture - we are culture 📚 Knowledge - knowledge bearers and educators 🗳️ Politics/politician- Activist, politicians, innovators, trailblazers ✨ Proud - creating proud moments we celebrated for generations to come 💪Resilience - lyrical gods who channel resilience through their craft ⭐️ Courage/courageous - courageous change-makers , carrying their community on their back ❤️ Hope - carried the hopes of our ancestors in their hearts 🔍 Visibility - rewrote the narrative and pushed for visibility in British society   The Ask: what we are asking for is any footage or photos that we can use of who you consider to be great black British heroes to accompany, a spoken word curation bringing to life the heroes of black, British life and culture. Videos and images will fill the walls and ceiling of the Outernet venue of those we want to highlight.    No one is being paid to do this.
