https://lnkd.in/dF9AQJur It is International Women's Day but the issues women face go beyond a day. They go beyond a quick social media post. It is important that organizations o their part every day, 365 days a year, to ensure that women within their organizations are thriving, have what they need to thrive and equitable practices exist. This month is the perfect time for organizations to take a hard look at themselves and do a deep audit of how all women in their organizations feel and what they are experiencing. As I type there is a woman who is not receiving equitable and fair pay. As I type there is a woman who does not have access to adequate medical care. As I type there is a woman who is being devalued by someone in their organization. As this long, today uplift all the women that are in your life, organizations, and on the planet.

An ally in the fight against image abuse and identity theft online. Encouraging accountability, inspiring change!
What a brilliant and talented woman, and what true words that are still very relevant in today’s interconnected world... Read why below👇 We need to work towards a global society where people dare speak their minds, be themselves and express themselves - where women and minorities dare do their jobs as frontier politicians, journalists and public opinion makers - where young boys and girls dare reach out to the authorities, trusted entities and their families if they experience abuse - where people dare stand up for their rights - without fear of discrimination, gender-based violence, abuse, victim-blaming and hatred! ✊ We need more focus on safety both in the physical and digital world. And most importantly, we need to take survivors seriously and claim accountability from those who cause other people distress. This is exactly what we work for in SASHA - Safe Share! Read our latest press release to learn more about our work to combat online image abuse once and for all: https://lnkd.in/dXPPCgun #euqality #digitalrights #humanrights #saferinternet #onlinesafety #freedomnotfear #accountability
Today we remember Nina Simone, born #OnThisDay in 1933. She used the power of music to inspire and speak up for equal rights. #BlackHistoryMonth

Do you want to know how to make your events more inclusive? The Trans Dimension Guide to Inclusive Events is here for you! (We also have pin badges) As a trans and disabled-led studio, we're acutely aware of the large intersection between trans and disabled communities. We worked with the Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People and Gendered Intelligence to make a resource for event organisers who want to consider access as an intersectional, multi-faceted issue. You can read The Trans Dimension Guide to Inclusive Events on our website (https://lnkd.in/egV9_M43), or if you prefer a hard copy you can grab one from Pen Fight (https://lnkd.in/egBemiF7)!

Purpose driven with a passion for helping others to embrace the power of accessible and inclusive communications.
Accessibility benefits everyone. When you need it, it matters. So why not make it matter in every plan, event and communication?
I love this perfect example of how accessibility would benefit everyone... Grammy Winner Tyla, needed to be lifted up the stairs at The Met Gala because her dress is made of sand, If accessibility was embedded in to every facet of our society, from everyday buildings to glamorous galas it would improve everybody's experience. And as Jessica Jordan Ping mentioned, if the barriers at The Met Gala were removed, we might not only see greater disability representation at the event but also a higher level of artistry because when functionality and access are addressed, one can focus more on fashion and art. Accessibility and innovation go hand in hand. Can we please make The Met Gala accessible next year, it’s pretty clear non disabled folks would also benefit…! Image description: Tyla is being carried up the Met Gala stairs, three men in suits by her side assisting her. #DisabilityRights #Accessibility https://lnkd.in/eFSjuhKi
