APRIL 23 EACH HOLY ACT Pursue peace with everyone, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. HEBREWS 12:14 NRSV Oh Father, that the world would know true peace; that war and violence would cease to be such a mainstay of human interaction. It seems unimaginable, yet I long for it. Develop the ability to defer my own satisfaction and the defense of my own rights and justice. Teach me to control my temper and to see with the eyes you use to see others. Remind me of the selfishness I harbor so that I may forgive the selfishness of others; in this way I will be slow to judge. thank you for the confidence you give me regarding your righteous promises and the character you are building in me. Let that confidence translate into the ability to refrain from demanding my own way. Help me to mimic your restraint in my dealings with others so that peace may be the result, and perhaps they may be drawn to your nature. What do you think is the source of the aggression and violence the world experiences?

Raising an Army of God God never raises inferior men. In every generation, God raises exceptional men for His work. These men, equipped and sent by God, are God-men, men who reflect His nature. Was Joseph inferior to the wise men in Pharaoh's court? No. By the wisdom of God, Joseph ruled the nations. When Moses walked the streets and palace of Egypt, the whole earth quaked under the weight of his decrees. Soon after David joined Saul's army, he became the king's ADC (armor-bearer). What about Daniel in Babylon? Emperors deferred to his uncanny wisdom. Did the apostles fear and cringe before the mighty Sanhedrin? A resounding no! Did Martin Luther hide in fear when the formidable machinery of the papacy marched against him? Absolutely not. The men God has raised and will raise in this day will be no less remarkable. Why? This generation is unlike any before it. The Devil has woven his men and his plans into the very fabric of family and society. Sure, the Enemy has his people; God also has His army, an army unlike any He has ever raised since the world began. God wants to counter the Devil and his men through you. Will you surrender yourself to the service of the great King? Are you available for drafting? 1 Chronicles 12:22 (ESV) For from day to day men came to David to help him, until there was a great army, like an army of God.

-Bhagvad Gita as it is (Chapter -1 & Verse-1) Explanation-- Both armies were fully prepared for the inevitable war, gathering on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. However, King Dhritarashtra, blinded by love for his sons, inquired from Sanjaya about what his sons and his brother Pandu's sons were doing on the battlefield. Despite knowing they would fight, he asked this question. Blind King Dhritarashtra's love for his sons had clouded his spiritual wisdom, leading them astray from the path of righteousness. He had unjustly seized the kingdom of Hastinapura from the rightful heirs, the Pandavas. Feeling remorse for the injustice done to his nephews, his inner self was troubled about the outcome of this war. The term "Dharmakshetra" used by Dhritarashtra signifies the land of righteousness (Dharma), reflecting the dilemma he was experiencing. Described in the Vedic text Shatapatha Brahmana as the divine sacrificial field, Kurukshetra was considered a sacred land nurturing righteousness. Dhritarashtra feared that the sacred land might influence his sons' minds. If it instilled a sense of equality, they might reconsider killing their cousins and opt for peaceful negotiations. Opting for a peaceful resolution would mean obstacles for the Kauravas. He was more inclined towards war, despite uncertainty about its outcome, as he wanted to determine the fate of his sons. Thus, he sought information from Sanjaya about the activities of both armies on the battlefield. _____________________________________ #BhagwatGeetaSeries #TransformTogether
