But here we are again – advertising the same role for the second time. 🙄 Let’s be honest: the results aren’t what you hoped for. And let’s not forget, you needed this position filled months ago... 😶 Yes, partnering with a recruitment expert can be an investment. But the cost of leaving critical roles unfilled? That’s even higher. With so many recruiters out there, it can be tough to know who will truly deliver and who won’t. That’s why building strong, ongoing partnerships with the right recruiter is key. REASONS NOT TO USE A RECRUITING AGENCY · Your internal team has nothing else to do · You have no critical open positions that need to be filled · You have too many qualified candidates · Work is slow/no projects to work on · Do not worry about over-working current employes to make up for unfilled positions · Enjoy paying to outsource or passing on projects because your team does not have the ability to take on more These are a few of the reasons you should not use a Recruiting Agency to partner with in helping your internal team get critical open positions filled. However, if you add up the following: · The cost of your internal team working on the open positions · The cost of over-working your teams to make up for open positions · The cost of passing on work or missing time-lines · The cost of turnover due to burn-out The price of an Agency Placement fee is less than the total cost of not having a position filled.

We’re closing multiple deals right now with beginning of January starts. I can never predict the future BUT recruitment agencies starting experienced recruiters when the new year kicks off is a sign of optimism. I always joke that we’re trading off of clients’ optimism as perm recruiters. Our clients are only confident hiring perm recruiters from me when they strongly believe the market is picking up. I’m seeing this optimism across all markets - some more than others, but it’s everywhere. We’ve been in a long, dark, deep winter that came after a big, unprecedented boom thanks to the 0% interest 2021/2022 market - the downside was a major shock and pendulum swing in a very bad direction… BUT, markets are cyclical - any seasoned agency recruiter will remind you of this. IF you are a lifelong agency recruiter (god help all of us 😂😭), you have to prove your commitment through the down seasons. Proving yourself in that way means much more than benefitting when times are booming & everyone (and their mother) wants to do our job. Literally every agency recruiter killed it in that market - if they didn’t, that’s actually very odd. However, finding success in THIS market has been super challenging, and has been for some time. The upswing is coming soon - multiple economic indicators are pointing to that. Stay the course, hone your craft, and keep on keeping on :)

Whether it is an internal recruiting team, freelancers or external agencies there are different ways to get the best people into your company - but all require time, effort, and money.
