You've delegated as many tasks as you can, but you're still busy. You're not sure how you can find any time to relax. Here are some quick tips to find a way to relax even when you're really busy: 1. Meditation-even 5 minutes per day helps to calm you down and refocus. This is something you can do instead of scrolling on your phone. 2. Exercise-whether it's a scheduled class or just a brisk walk, it helps . 3. Mother Nature-make it a 2-fer by walking outside in the park. 4. Connections-take time to really connect with your family and friends. Be present when you do it. Laughter and love are the best medicine. 5. Music-crank up your favorite song and sing at the top of your lungs. When you know your triggers, you can remind yourself when you’re walking into a trigger zone. One way to prepare is to use breathing techniques. Here are three of my favorites. If these breathing techniques don’t work for you, I recommend practicing them when you’re feeling relaxed and not agitated. If you’re in a state of arousal and they’re not working, try taking a walk to remove yourself from the situation. Movement signals to the body that you are in action and getting to safety. Some of my clients have found doing sun salutations, throwing a ball or playing hoops helpful. #breathingexercises #breathingtechniques #breathwork #breathedeep #stressrelief #stressmanagement
