It's been just over a week since I started my new role at Zafin. The first few days in a new company can feel overwhelming in so many aspects. Getting to know your colleagues, learning about your product, the industry, and all nuances that come with it. It hasn't been any different for me. But here I am, a few days in, and I'm already starting to get in my stride. I am: ✅ Being looped in on key projects. ✅ Calling the shots in some critical business areas. ✅ Making crucial contributions to my team. Yes, onboarding must happen in parallel, but here are some tips I've found that have helped me hit the ground running: 1️⃣ Networking is key: Get yourself in front of others as much as you can. Set up 1-1 with folks inside and outside your team. Getting face time with them through introductory chats is key to building a solid working relationship. 2️⃣ Play the newbie card: Tell everyone you're new, use the newbie card to your advantage, and ask as many questions as you want. It shows you’re eager to learn. 3️⃣ Offer (genuinely) to help out: Ask direct questions to your team members, your peers, your boss, or cross-functional leaders like “What area are you struggling in?” or “Is there any gap you're looking to fill?” or “Is there anything I can take off your plate?” - these are key as it shows you're here to HELP THEM. As time rolls on, I'll be sharing more learnings as I ramp up in this exciting role and make product marketing into a critical, strategic voice within the business 🚀 #newjob #onboarding #fintech #banking #first30days #productmarketing

Super thankful to #fintech_devcon for the opportunity to share my thoughts on how to create growth minded teams. The recording should go live later. The highlight is that on the job growth is tied to the cycle of Feedback, Continuous Improvement, and a Culture of Learning. Make it easy for yourself use structure in each of these areas to drive growth. Reach out if you are curious about it. I would be happy to share more. #trellisandvine #growth #engineering

"Three years ago, I walked into an interview with a fintech company, eager to join their Dev team. But, I'll be honest, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. The manager laughed at me, saying I knew nothing about Dev (and he wasn't wrong!). I had no experience at all. But, I didn't let that discourage me. I took it as a challenge to learn and grow. I spent countless hours studying, attending webinars, and networking with professionals in the field. Fast forward to 2 years, I was offered a position on that same Dev team on that same job role Moral of the story: don't be afraid to take risks and step outside your comfort zone. You never know what you're capable of until you try. And, to the manager who laughed at me, thank you for the motivation! #Fintech #Dev #LearningAndGrowing #NeverGiveUp"

🏆 Our goal for 2024 — ensure Quadcode is one of the best places to work. As we enter Q2, we can feel how the year is gaining momentum. All the changes we had sketched are now coming to life. Consolidation of the holding's resources, the change of management approach from brand-centric to region-centric, and, of course, the return of Sergei Dobrovolskii as CEO—all of this is certainly giving an extra spin to everything that we do. What will help us achieve our goals? Several key things: 👤 Investing in new employees 💡 Investing in new ideas 📈 Striving for the best results together Only through the unity of our human capital, application of new ideas, and 'Oneness' will we achieve this strategic level-up. And we are mid-way already. If you visit jobs.quadcode.com, you will see that today we are hiring more than ever. Very soon, we will have several key events centered around #AI in fintech—the technology that will be fundamental to business in this decade. However, one thing won’t change. Quadcode has always had a reputation as a cool company with a legendary culture, and it’s going to stay that way. #changes #goals

Payments Industry Leader | Co-Founder & Chief Revenue Officer at Payzli | Transforming the Payments Industry with Passion and Purpose
I am often asked about what makes our team so special. And my answer is always the same - it's the people. You guys, each and every one of you, are the secret sauce that makes Payzli tick. Seriously, I can't stress this enough. Here's the deal: at Payzli, we're all about understanding our team members and nurturing a culture that's as solid as a rock. It's not just about what we do; it's about who we are. In today's crazy world, having a rock-solid team culture is non-negotiable. That's why we're super picky about who we bring on board. We've got this list of five traits that we look for in every candidate, and trust me, they're more than just buzzwords. 👇 Firstly, we seek individuals who have shown 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚 in their lives. This could be as simple as moving to a new city or reinventing themselves in college. Whatever the experience, we want team members who are willing to step outside of their comfort zones and take risks. Secondly, 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 is crucial for effective communication and understanding others' emotional triggers. At Payzli, we value individuals who speak properly and can empathize with others. Thirdly, we 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 in everything we do. From building a paper airplane to winning competitions, we want team members who are always looking for ways to improve and achieve the best results. Fourthly, 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 is essential for building trust and strong relationships. We look for individuals who are true to themselves, open, and honest. Lastly, we want team members who are 𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 in their pursuit of success. Whether it's finding the answer to a customer's question or overcoming a challenge, we want individuals who never give up. So yeah, that's the Payzli way. By investing in our people and living and breathing our core values, we've built a team that's tough as nails and ready to take on whatever the world throws our way. Here's to you, Team Payzli. You're the real MVPs. #Culture #PayzliTeam #DreamTeam #Fintech #PaymentsIndustry

Digital Strategy Leader | 10+ Years in Performance Marketing | Skilled in Data Analysis and Data-Driven Strategy Development | Passionate About AI & Digital Transformation
"Would you share a cup of tea with your colleagues after office hours?" It is not just about small talk; it's about team chemistry. Often, team chemistry translates to professional success. When building PayPal, Peter Thiel aimed to create a company on solid friendships, which eventually became the team known as the PayPal mafia. This team went on to create 7 unicorn companies, including Tesla Motors, LinkedIn, Yelp, and YouTube. So, what is so special about team chemistry? It creates: - Strong bonds that spark new ideas - Shared values that create cohesive culture - Friendships that reduce turnover In my career, I had left a publicly listed company after just 7 months due to poor culture fit, while I am continuing with NetElixir for over 10 years. Genuine connections foster trust, authenticity, and a thriving work environment. The more connected we are as a team, the better positioned for success we are. 🤝 #teamchemistry, #professionaldevelopment, #innovation, #unity, #turnover, #companyculture, #genuineconnections, #trust, #authenticity, #workenvironment, #success, #businessgrowth, #careerdevelopment, #leadership, #collaboration

I wanted to celebrate this week with three pods that remind me of fintech's purpose, mission, impact, and who is behind driving forward businesses. this is especially true when we think of how we can empower each other in our careers and how we progress as an industry. Rianna Kelly, Senior Manager— Data Modeling & Analytics Engineering at Zepz, says, “Fintech is an action-orientated industry. What actions are we taking here?" Reminding us of the importance of your mission and what you want to achieve. Lesley Li, CEO and Co-Founder of U Impact, shares how career paths excel when you are courageous, curious and persistent in your learning, reminding us of the power of progression. Angy Watson, COO at Paymentology, says "Get comfortable with change because that's something we can be certain of." Reminding us that to reach the heights of our potential we will need to be agile. Each of these pods will help you empower yourself in your career trajectory. The FinTech's DEI Discussions have become a library of learning. Lessons from across the industry that allow for us all to build better careers in better workplaces and be privy to better opportunities for growth! Let's listen Let's learn Let's walk the talk #walkthetalk #diversityandinclusion #purposefintech #careers #investinpeople
