🚀 Exciting Project Update! 🚀 As a student intern at CODTECH IT SOLUTIONS, I recently worked on a project to predict housing prices using the California Housing dataset. This experience has been a fantastic opportunity to apply my knowledge of data science and machine learning in a practical setting. 🏠📊 Here’s a summary of what I accomplished: 📊 Data Preparation: Loaded and explored the California Housing dataset, selecting key features like Median Income, House Age, and Average Rooms for the model. 🔍 Feature Scaling: Standardized the selected features to ensure the model performs optimally. 🤖 Model Development: Created a Linear Regression model to predict housing prices based on the selected features. 📈 Model Evaluation: Achieved a Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 0.64 and an R-squared value of 0.51, indicating a decent model fit for the data. 📉 Visualizations: Plotted the actual vs. predicted prices and visualized the feature importance to understand the model's behavior. This project has been an excellent learning experience, enhancing my skills in data preprocessing, model training, and evaluation. I'm excited to continue growing in the field of data science and contribute to innovative projects at CodTech! As I wrap up my 21-day Problem of the Day (POTD) streak, I’ve taken a moment to reflect on how this journey has shaped my understanding and mastery of Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). When I first embarked on this challenge, I was motivated by the desire to enhance my problem-solving skills and prepare for technical interviews. However, what I gained was so much more than just technical knowledge. Each day, I tackled a new DSA problem, diving deep into concepts ranging from arrays to trees, and even grappling with dynamic programming challenges. This commitment did not just enhance my coding abilities; it transformed my approach to learning and problem-solving. Here are some key takeaways from my experience: Consistency is Key: Committing to a daily routine cultivated discipline. Each problem required focus and perseverance, reinforcing the notion that regular practice leads to mastery. Embracing Failure: Not every problem was solved on the first attempt. Learning to dissect my mistakes and understanding where I went wrong became an integral part of my growth. This mindset shift—viewing failures as stepping stones—has been invaluable. Expanding My Toolkit: With each problem, I was introduced to various algorithms and data structures. I learned to identify the most efficient solution for each scenario, understanding the importance of choosing the right tool for the job. Community Engagement: Engaging with fellow learners and experts on platforms like GeeksforGeeks created a sense of camaraderie. Sharing insights and discussing different approaches not only enriched my learning experience but also expanded my perspective on problem-solving. Real-World Applications: Many of the problems mirrored challenges faced in the tech industry. This practical relevance made the learning process more engaging and gave me confidence in applying these skills in real-world situations. Building a Habit of Learning: This streak has instilled in me a lifelong commitment to learning. I now approach challenges with a growth mindset, eager to embrace new problems and concepts in DSA and beyond. I encourage everyone, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, to embark on a similar challenge. The journey may seem daunting at first, but the rewards are immense. A huge thank you to GeeksforGeeks for providing a platform that encourages this kind of growth and to Deutsche Bank for fostering a culture that values continuous learning and innovation. Let’s keep pushing our boundaries, embracing challenges, and supporting each other in this journey of growth! #DSA #ProblemSolving #GrowthMindset #LearningJourney #Coding
