So.. my fellow computer science dropouts, don't you think we should tailor an organized shortest path curriculum for our future Rockstars?
One Year Max after completing High School?
Lots of tech orgs are already helping achieve this I see. Doing their liabilities. Well done.
But the missing semicolon here is an Algorithm. A step by step flow, to follow, to say 'hello world' with confidence, in a ocean of scattered courses and tutorials.
ALGORITHM TO THE SHORTEST PATH FOR ROCKSTARS!
🤘🏻

Yesterday I snuck into 🌲 TreeHacks 2024, Stanford (and the world)'s largest hackathon. 1600 TOP builders fly in (free of charge) and get just 36 hours. Andrew Z. and I built ✨ ClassX ✨, an AI tutor in AR on the Apple Vision Pro 👓 When your professor is saying gibberish in math class, pull up your virtual study desk on Apple Vision Pro, and let AI (Mistral 7x8b Mixture of Experts) search/generate relevant content -- videos, audio transcripts, pdfs, latex ... - 🎬 Generates AI video (without OpenAI Sora) for math visuals - 📺 Searches 3blue1brown videos & mit ocw pdfs - ⏳ Rewind time, see older transcripts/content Just sit back, and let ClassX translate jargon into English. ➡️ Check out our open-source GitHub @ https://lnkd.in/g9Q7npZA and Devpost @ https://lnkd.in/gcUn-ii8

I recently participated in OSSHack, and I learned a lot about how to ship fast. Here are some of my key learnings: 1) Design before you build: You'll thank yourself immensely. I spent way too much time on flip-flopping between features that I wanted to add and weighing if I would be able to actually implement them within the time limit. 2) Build something on the edge of your technical ability: My original idea of querying for alternative data for trading using an LLM would have been good (and fun to build,) but I wasn't able to make it in time, and had to switch to a more basic idea. 3) Really enjoy the domain in which you're building! For me personally, I wanted to make something in the realm of finance. I think this is one key reason why, even though I switched ideas, I was able to submit something by the end of the competition. If you'd like to check out what I've built, learn about the technical side behind my hackathon submission, and read more of my learnings, be sure to check my reflection out:

I'm delighted to announce the completion of my latest toy project - a predictive model that forecasts PPS (Programming For Problem Solving) marks based on other subject marks! 📊✨ In this project, I've built a custom dataset using the marks of my fellow batchmates in subjects like Maths, Physics, Electrical, and EVS. By harnessing the power of machine learning, I've developed a predictive model that can estimate PPS marks, helping us understand the relationship between different subjects and our PPS scores. 📚💻 But why PPS marks, you might ask? Well, PPS is not just any subject; it's a fundamental course that lays the groundwork for problem-solving skills crucial in the world of programming and beyond. By understanding how our performance in other subjects correlates with our PPS marks, we gain insights into areas where we excel and where we need improvement. 📈🧠 This project is just the beginning of a journey towards leveraging data-driven insights to enhance learning outcomes and academic success. I'm excited to continue exploring the intersection of data science and education to unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation. 💡🌟 Project Link - https://lnkd.in/gzCG9np4
