LTCC Student Housing Project Update! We’re making great progress on the Lake Tahoe Community College Student Housing Project this week! The roof is moving along with the 2-ply ice and water shield fully installed, and shingle installation is set to begin on Wednesday. Inside, the paint primer is going up, and painting will start later this week. On the ground, all sidewalks with snow melt will be poured by the end of the week. Additionally, final paving will be completed next week, getting us one step closer to a finished project. 🎉 Adventure of the day: We had a surprise visitor—a bear! 🐻 It was spotted by the job trailer, snacking on some mayonnaise. Just another day at the Lake Tahoe job site! Join us in celebrating one of our outstanding team members, John! 🎉 John has been a vital part of Creekside for a year now, serving as a Project Engineer on our Tahoe job. His dedication, hard work, and team spirit truly embody our mission of Building Community. We are grateful to have him on the Creekside team! Let’s learn a little bit more about John… Q: How many years in the industry? A: 27 years. I started in the trades as a teenager in high school, spent 4 years in product sales and management, 10 years in high end home/commercial automation, but building things is what keeps me going. Q:What do you love/enjoy about the field? A: The outdoors and watching the project come together. Q:What is one of your favorite things to do on your weekends/ day off? A:Exploring, whether that be by vehicle, bike, foot or paddle. Go outside! Q:If you had a superpower, what would it be? A:Make everybody HAPPY 😊. Q: What’s your guilty pleasure song? A: Silence. Q:What is the worst fashion decision you ever made? Do you have pictures? Progress update on the Visions In Education Charter School TI Project! Wall framing and rough electrical are complete. We’ve finished drywall on one side of the second floor and are starting on the first floor this week. Mechanical VAVs have been replaced, and we’ve removed the windows on the second floor to bring in the steel. Insulation starts today and will be wrapped up by Friday! She is one of our Project Engineers and has been a valuable member of the Creekside team for almost 5 years! Tammie brings a wealth of experience and is eager to take on new challenges. Her adaptability and dedication make her an asset both in the field and in the office. She’s passionate about team building and fostering growth, and we’re grateful to have her as part of the Creekside team! Let’s learn a little bit more about Tammie… Q: How many years in the industry? A: Approximately 28 years. I have worked for HVAC & Plumbing Subcontractors as well as General Contractors. Q: What do you love/enjoy about the field? A: I love this industry because it is never boring. I may be doing similar task, but each project adds a different spin to the requirements. It is also fun to meet new people and see old acquaintances from past projects, it is a small world when working in construction. Q: What is one of your favorite things to do on your weekends/ day off? A: I enjoy hanging out in our backyard during my time off. I have a good size garden and a pool to relax in, of course if we are not watching our daughter play softball. Q: If you had a superpower, what would it be? A:I like working with numbers and seem to be able to find discrepancies and patterns when there’s an issue. Q: What’s your guilty pleasure song? A: Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard. 😊 Q: What is the worst fashion decision you ever made? Do you have pictures? A: I’m sure there were many, but I cannot think of one right now. I was a teenager through the 80s so I’m sure my bangs were high.
