Housekeeping Order Taker at The Lana, Dubai - Dorchester Collection (Pre - Opening). Bachelor's Degree in Leisure and Hospitality Management.
It's been two weeks since i started my Butler cross exposure training, i believe taking these trainings makes you a better service professional because you will make decisions from an informed point of view. Being a butler is like being the whole Hotel, you are a boutique of services that the guest can enjoy, whether it's food service, wine selection, shoe shining, room cleaning, packing and unpacking, scheduling appointments or travel arrangements and so many more, they are all a text or call a way and sometimes delivered unexpectedly with passion. In the two weeks so far i have been training, i have seen myself in a position where I'm rich with ideas and knowledge that will assist me in day to day efficient execution of my tasks which is so crucial today in the ever changing and demanding hospitality industry. In my career so far i have worked as a waiter, Receptionist and now as a housekeeping Order Taker/ Coordinator, adding Butler knowledge/ experience move me closer to a complete all round hotelier. Do you think working in different departments is better or focusing on one job is? Which training do you think i should take next? #Butler #Luxuryservice #Training #Selfdevelopment

Hospitality Professional | Restaurant Manager | Restaurants Turn Around | Budgeting | Team Player | High Impact Communicator | Operations Management | Menu Development | CRM | Sales & Forecasting
I noticed that many of job postings in the hospitality sector specify that applicants must have studied in Europe or have European qualifications. Could you clarify why candidates who have studied in other continents aren't eligible? Does this imply that professionals from Africa, Asia, South Asia, or other regions are less skilled or less educated? Is there a particular reason behind this preference perhaps related to the perception of education quality or even skin color? This raises concerns about the implications for the hospitality sector in other continents, where many professionals have studied in their home countries. Does this mean their qualifications are not valued? It would be great to understand the reasoning behind this, as it could have significant implications for diversity and inclusion in the global hospitality industry. Looking forward to your thoughts.
