HOLD ON TO YOUR PRE-ARB MINUTES FOLKS! Attached LAC-case once again confirms the status of pre-arb minutes and the limited arena for litigation which is created by a duly concluded & executed pre-arb minute. The importance of this is three-fold: 1) Make sure you fully perused the pre-arb minutes prior to proceedings to establish your strategy; 2) When you conclude pre-arb minutes, cover all your bases; 3) Make sure the presiding officer knows about the existence of the pre-arb minutes and that he / she is bound by it. Put attached in the front of your briefcase perhaps... Have a good one!

Join Morgan E. Leigh as she co-presents with Patrick J. Coyne of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner LLP as they discuss how to develop and persuasively present a closing argument to convey your client’s story and convince the jury why your side’s perspective on the case warrants a favorable verdict. Those who attend will leave with a better understanding of how and when to effectively organize your closing, how to give a persuasive closing, what you can and can’t say, how to deal with the other side’s closing and rebuttal, and how to capture and keep the jury’s attention. While aimed at attorneys with little or no trial experience, others may find topics of interest in further developing their trial skills. Those who attend this class may also be interested in attending the other three classes in this series, which are Effective Opening Statements, Dynamic Direct Examination, and Potent Cross-examination.
