Bringing joy to Islington’s children thanks to Islington Council's Community Chest! 🧒🏽🧸🪀 Did you know that 37% (nearly 15,000) of children in Islington are growing up in poverty? For many families, essentials like food and heating must come first, meaning toys and play often fall out of reach. That’s where The Toy Project steps in! Thanks to funding from Islington Council’s Community Chest, delivered in partnership with Cripplegate Foundation, this wonderful initiative is helping to bring joy, creativity, and play to children across the borough. They have a range of inspiring projects which you can check out on their website. Could your community group use extra funding to make a real difference to people and families in Islington? The next round of Community Chest funding is open, and we’re looking to support local projects that: 🔸 work with Islington residents 🔸support people experiencing poverty and/or isolation 🔸have an annual turnover of less than £100,000 📆 The closing date is 12pm midday, Monday 17 February 2025.
