When you are a leader, it’s so important to support your team. Here’s a story I want to share with you. 👇 There was an attorney who was in court, and unfortunately, he realized that he needed an important document in one hour. When he contacted his law firm to request it, the Managing Partner decided to bring the document to the lawyer himself. ✅ And the Managing Partner’s message to the attorney was that this is tough when it happens, but it does happen to everyone. The Managing Partner wanted to bring the document himself to see if there was any other way he could support the lawyer. In my opinion, this is the best thing a leader can do. No, he wasn’t thrilled that the attorney forgot the document. ➡️ However, the Managing Partner was able to recognize that these things do happen, and. rather than viewing it as a nuisance he chose to see it as an opportunity to support this member of his team. Everyone makes mistakes. And, as a leader, you must acknowledge mistakes, let your team know it’s okay, and move on.
