My generation had laptops in school, but we learned most of the accounting fundamentals by paper and pencil, using T-accounts. I kept notes - a lot of notes written on PowerPoints during class plus supplemented with more from replaying voice notes. I'd then read out loud and record all the notes to listen to while rewatching the original PowerPoint presentation on replay video style. After graduation these detailed notes really helped me to study for and eventually pass the CPA exam. We paid a lot of money for 5 years of tuition and my school is great with alumni relations, but what about all the other schools. Why didn't they develop MOOCS to give to alumni to advance their careers further without paying additional tuition because those doors have already been opened. What you are trying to achieve is to increase alumni relations/retention in the hopes that rising tides lifts all boats and onward and upward this continued alumni commodore eventually will/could/can be attributed again to their college and alumnus status, so hopefully they get more donations nearing end-of-life decisions. 😎 More MOOCs, please, for free, please: Baylor University - Hankamer School of Business, lead the way? 🏃♂️ 🙋♂️ 🙏

We believe that no young person should be held back from where they come from, but the reality is that even when they have the skills, aspirations and self-belief, young people from low socio-economic communities face barriers that prevent them from achieving their dreams. That’s why we launched our Next Steps Bursary programme – to help them overcome these barriers, fulfil their potential and believe that anything is possible as they take their next steps into further and higher education, apprenticeships and the world of work. The existing financial challenges faced by the young people we work with are being exacerbated by the soaring #costofliving, so these bursaries are needed more than ever.
