Amazing to have been able to bring together over 70 people from 30 key companies to attend my presentation on the integration of measuring operations in production and automation. Our Indonesian agent PT Yakin Maju Sentosa excels in organizing such events, I am always impressed to see how close their salespeople are to their customers, frankly it's remarkable. Karawang showroom was once again full for this session, I thank everyone who worked for this success and all the people who came and dedicated their afternoon to us. More and more Indonesian customers are looking for solutions to automate their production and increase productivity. While for years they were reluctant to changes and new technologies, post-COVID marked a radical reversal, which has allowed us to develop this big market significantly by offering customized and innovative solutions. Our local partner plays a big role in this success, since they are on the road every day to present and promote our Sylvac products; The credit goes to them! Fortunately for Indonesia, while the situation is clearly unfavorable for exporters, the impact on GDP growth is cushioned by Indonesia’s relatively limited dependence on exports. As it was often the case during prior global crises, it is the Indonesia’s huge domestic market that comes to the rescue. For this year, Indonesia is targeting 5.2% economic growth, while inflation is predicted to be around 2.6%, figures that many countries envy. Despite the abundance, cosmetic consumption in Indonesia per capita is still low compared to neighboring countries like Malaysia and Thailand. This has prompted the Indonesian government to invite multinational cosmetic brands to invest in the country. According to the Ministry of Industry, the cosmetics sector contributes a significant IDR 150 trillion to the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). However, only 30% of this value comes from domestic industries, while a whopping 70% is still imported.
