When it comes to chipping most people try to go under the ball to get it up in the air. The problem with this is they will get breakdown through impact and lose good contact on the golf ball . What a golfer wanting to chip well should be doing is hitting down on the ball contacting the ball first and ground second with a downward strike. So if you are struggling with solid impact and getting the ball close to the pin next time you need to learn to hit the ball on the downswing with the hands leading through impact. In the coming week we will be putting our attention on helping you to chip well.
