A small kitchen fire quickly escalated, but thanks to quick action and proper safety measures, everyone was safe. 1️⃣ Stay Calm: The first step is to stay calm and assess the situation. 2️⃣ Alert Others: Make sure everyone in the vicinity is aware of the fire. 3️⃣ Use a Fire Extinguisher: If it’s safe to do so, use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire. 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲: Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep. 4️⃣ Evacuate: If the fire is too large to handle, evacuate immediately and call emergency services. Fire prevention and safety are paramount for safeguarding lives and property. Key steps to enhance fire safety include installing smoke alarms on every level of your home, testing them monthly, and creating a fire escape plan with your family. Remember to practice the escape plan twice a year and ensure everyone knows at least two ways to exit each room. In case of a fire, evacuate immediately, never re-enter a burning building, and call for help. Keep fire extinguishers in the kitchen, learn how to use them, and contact your local fire department for proper training. Additionally, be cautious in the kitchen by keeping flammable items away from the stove. Maintain electrical safety by checking cords for damage regularly and avoiding overloading outlets. Stay informed about local fire safety regulations and engage in community safety programs to stay proactive in fire prevention. Let’s prioritize fire safety to protect ourselves and our loved ones #FireSafety #Prevention #SafetyFirst

A fire outbreak can be very disastrous in the industry and at home if not properly managed. Lives, properties, equipment and machines are lost as well as environmental damages, this has resulted in the folding up of some industries and consequently have direct and indirect impact on the society. I had the opportunity to be part of the Auxiliary Fire Fighting where we underwent a Live Fire Fighting Training. Fire management is the process of planning, preventing and fighting fires to protect people, property and other resources. It is vital that organizations and industries equip their employees with Basic Fire Fighting Skills. Fire management requires some specialized skills and knowledge. How to keep yourself safe when fighting fire, How you approach fire, What materials are required in extinguishing fire, What is the cause of the fire, Which PPE is required to fight fire, What is the nature of the fire, What if the fire spreads towards you while fighting it. What if the fire bubbles, pops, and splashes at you, How do you handle fire fighting equipment. This and very many questions can be considered when fighting fire. Feel free to add to the comments section what question you consider necessary for fire management in the industry. #AuxilliaryFireFighting #FireFighting #FireFightingSkills #FireManagement #FireExtinguishing #FireFightingEquipment
