It’s UK Care Week, so why not find out more about using a care provider in your own home. Each week, we hear in a bit more detail from one of our members, when they present for 10 minutes. This gives the group a greater understanding of their business, who their clients are, what they are trying to achieve and how the rest of the group can help them. This week we heard from Karishma Maurya from Caremark Croydon. She explained that the most important part of their service is to build relationships with their clients, understanding the type of person they are, to be able to match them with the appropriate carer who will be regularly coming into their home. Caremark offer a very broad service, from walking your dog, doing the weekly shopping right through to living with you in your home. Their care plans are tailored made to support the individual, so it can be a very simple care plan all the way through to dealing with extremely complex care needs and everything in-between. It can also be on a short or long-term basis, so you may just need a bit of support following an injury or operation, or daily care for the rest of your life.
