The government is expected to establish an agriculture credit goal of INR 22 trillion for the upcoming financial year, reflecting a 10% increase from the current year's target, which is likely to be exceeded, according to sources. In the present fiscal year, the commercial banks, cooperative banks, and regional rural banks (RRBs) have already disbursed INR 16.37 trillion, which constitutes 81% of the INR 20 trillion target, achieved within the initial three quarters of FY24.
