SIMULATION: Alpine selects VI-grade driving #simulators French sports car manufacturer Alpine Cars has purchased a Static Simulator and Compact Full-Spectrum Simulator (FSS) from VI-grade. Philippe Krief, CEO of Alpine Cars, commented, “We are fully aligned with the ‘zero prototypes’ vision of fully validating cars thanks to simulation #software, driving simulators and hardware-in-the-loop to ensure performance and safety. Putting the driver in the loop is crucial, as some performances are closely tied to driver feeling, but virtual testing before road testing is essential to save time, money and produce a superior product.” Guido Bairati, managing director at VI-grade, said, “I am excited to announce the adoption of our Static and Compact Full-Spectrum Simulator at Alpine Cars. Our advanced simulators will enhance Alpine’s vehicle development processes by providing scalability, multi-disciplinary capabilities and a path to the future of automotive simulation. This partnership exemplifies VI-grade’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enable customers to achieve new heights in efficiency, quality and development time.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/egizUNTW #Automotive #AutomotiveTesting #Engineering #AutomotiveIndustry #AutomotiveEngineering #Mobility #Technology #Transportation #AutoTestMag #AutoTestExpo #AutoTestNovi #AutoTestEurope #AutoTestIndia #AutoTestChina #AutoTestKorea #GACS

IS TESLA FSD AUTOPILOT SAFE? This video went viral on Reddit. The driver engaged the Full Self-Driving autopilot mode and right after that the car started veering into the oncoming traffic. The driver was alert and that help avoiding a dangerous head-on collision. Moral? Playing games on your phone with your autopilot on is a very very bad idea. Keep your hands on the steering wheel and follow your vehicle manual, not the populist tweets. This is a great piece of technology, but we have a few more years ahead of us before the full-fledged Level 5 autonomous driving becomes a reality. #AI #computervision #ADAS

On March 1, 2024, TÜV Rheinland Taiwan held the “Driving the Future: Smart Mobility Forum” in Taipei City. TMS Technologies with a long history of collaboration with PTV in related fields, naturally seized the opportunity to participate in this event. The forum spotlighted Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a feature that PTV’s latest product will soon fully support. The automotive version of PTV’s Vissim, set for release in the second quarter of this year, distinguishes itself from previous traffic flow simulation versions. It boasts several exclusive features tailored for automotive manufacturers, including support for Hardware in Loop (HiL) or Model in Loop (MiL), crucial for powertrain development and component validation. Moreover, Vissim Automotive offers loop testing at frequencies of up to 1 kHz. Vissim Automotive is also seamlessly integrable with other software for joint simulations, rendering it applicable to ADAS development, functional safety testing, and verification. Additionally, it facilitates the import of road networks from OpenDrive for self-driving car maps. Addressing following behavior, Vissim Automotive furnishes a generic Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) car-following model, aligning with autonomous driving behavior. 🚗🌐 #景翊科技 #TMSTechnologies #PTV_Vissim #ADAS #RheinTÜV #GermanyRheinTÜV
