Next month, we will be attending Feel Good Fest! 📍🎉 This is such an amazing opportunity to collaborate with like-minded founders who are dedicated to enhancing both mental and physical health. Feel Good Fest aims to foster well-being, positivity, and community connection through art, live music, and engaging activities. The festival proudly partners with Habitual Roots Inc, a non-profit organization based in Charlotte, NC, and Denver, CO, that creates enjoyable, accessible, and stigma-free spaces for mental and emotional wellness programs. Thoughts for the month: 1. Our team is growing and I'm looking forward to welcoming amazing newbies this Spring 🌺 If you fancy a challenging read, I highly recommend 'Rebel Ideas: The power of diverse thinking'. It's completely flipped my perspective on organisational diversity 💭 2. We've seen a 30% increase in referrals to our service this year with GPs and Social Prescribers joining our network to refer local women for support. Our first baking & wellbeing programme of the year is in full swing and it's been an absolute joy to be involved in the sessions. When women are presented with a safe, trauma-informed space to learn, grow and heal it's truly transformational. We'll be sharing more empowering stories in the coming months 💕 3. The fundraising hamster wheel continues to turn and we're in the thick of it 🐹 But what does it look like to think outside the box? We know the landscape is shifting and, as charity leaders, we can't afford to sit and wait for the clouds to part. In the coming months, we'll be working hard to look at alternative methods. Hint: it may or may not include delicious treats 🥖 4. I've found myself a charity female founder girl gang and it's really lifted my spirits 💪 a big thank you to Enjoolata Foundation whose networking event led to these incredible connections 👯 times are tough, find your people, stick with them like glue. 5. Is it just me or has this felt like the longest year ever? Flashback to a year ago (pic below) when I was buzzing with energy and felt unstoppable 🚀 Recently something has shifted. Holding tight to the things that bring me joy and counting down the days to recharge and recover 🪴 hey - maybe I'll find my mojo again? 🔍

Experienced Global Marketing Leader | Driving Innovation, Growth and Authenticity | Formerly SVP/CMO of Global Marketing @MiiR | Global Marketing Lead at Nike | Positive & Empathetic Leader | CMO
Quick Marketing tip Wednesday: Why being a part of a community is so important! Spending time with your community that you’re either apart of or planning to join, fosters connections, builds a sense of belonging, and promotes collaboration. Without a community and of course my family, I personally would not be the person I am today. Being a part of a community enables the exchange of ideas, diverse perspectives, team collaboration and collective efforts toward common goals, creating a stronger and more supportive social fabric. So join a community if you haven’t done so, it could be any community (i.e. Sports, Business, Non-Profit, etc..) #marketing #collaboration #community

💼 CFA YWI'24 | > ✨ Natural People-Person | > 👩🏻🔧 Bridging gaps | 🎓 Biosciences and French UG @Uni Of Exeter | 🗣️Making The Leap Fellow’s Board Member | 👉🏻Study and Work Abroad in Geneva
Did you know that today, the 13th June is Social Mobility Awareness Day? 🌟 As surprising as it may be, it has only been celebrated since 2022, when Making The Leap, an amazing social mobility charity started the initiative to help raise awareness on this salient issue, encouraging companies to share their social mobility stories. Being on the Fellow’s Board for MTL has meant that I have both gotten to experience, and witness the amazing impact the charity has had on so many lives. From the moment you join through the ACE program, MTL becomes your second family - your wins are their wins … your success is their success. I had the pleasure of attending a Social Mobility Day event organised by MTL to celebrate the work being done by the charity, and expose how much more improvement can still be achieved; ensuring access to opportunity isn’t the limiting factor to both professional and/or personal success is therefore key! 💪 The evening was both inspiring and insightful. Nothing compares to being surrounded by individuals who care as much as you do about such an amazing cause. Some key takeaways included: 🔹The importance of resilience, hard work, and the power of networking 🔹The amazing initiatives being carried out by Howard Kennedy LLP such as making what used to be free company coffee an easy way to donate 50p to the cause 😊 🔹2 simple but effective things that Tunde Banjoko OBE, the founder and CEO of MTL, that we could all apply in our own lives: 1. Be the employer you would like to have. This advice can honestly be applied to any type of relationship you have. Be the type of person you would like to have in your life. 2. Make sure you can look at yourself in the mirror and know that every turn you did your best and left nothing on the table. So are you celebrating Social Mobility Day? If so use #ShareMoments to both share what you’re doing during the day or/and your own social mobility story 🥰 #ShareMoments #SocialMobilityDay #EmpowerChange #ShareYourStory

SMB Growth Partner | Building a Community of 'WHOs' | Enhancing Experiences | Recovering Perfectionist | Aspiring Doodler
Sharing Something Personal . . . Living an Integrated, Values Based Life COMMUNICATE | COLLABORATE | CELEBRATE That is the tagline of a the non-profit I founded a little over 4 years ago, Pulaski County Tribe. It's also the foundation on which I founded my business, Larkitect Solutions. You could say it's part of my ethos. The past several months a small group of PCT VOLUNTEERS has worked tirelessly to organize a free community event we're hosting this weekend, Art in the Park. Reflecting on this today, it reminds me of other components of my life that are in alignment across my personal, professional, and passion projects: - Who Not How - Experience Matters - Together We Rise Who Not How: For this event, we looked to community partners to aid in bringing it to life. Experience Matters: We value the experience of those who attend, but ourselves as well. Today we completed our tasks, including loading supplies, so we can roll into the event on Saturday with a sense of ease and enjoyment. Together We Rise: We work together not for individual, self-serving reasons, but rather to collectively contribute to our community. We understand our ability to contribute and attract ripples well beyond our organization, and into the local businesses and the quality of life of those who attend. I share this with you to highlight living an integrated life in alignment with your core values goes beyond your professional endeavors. Because I choose to live in alignment, fueled by MY WHY, I was able to prioritize this event this week, and my friends and family have been the support system I needed to make it happen. I'm sharing this to highlight it is possible to life an integrated life of personal, professional, and passion projects when your values are in alignment across each spectrum. This was not always the case for me. I wish I had pursued it earlier. Thanks for reading. If it resonates with just one person, my unabridged openness was worth it! #LarkinLifestyle #IntegratedLiving

Social Impact Communications Entrepreneur Striving To Heal Our Planet And Our People With Words And Action
I AM ENOUGH YOU ARE ENOUGH WE ARE ENOUGH I am truly feeling these words/phrases after organizing and running my Second Annual YOU ARE ENOUGH 5K this past Sunday on May 5th. The work I have done and am doing around the YOU ARE ENOUGH movement is settling in. The 5K was a major success with the attendance doubling since last year. The community support was heartfelt and generous as far as funding and manpower goes. And, most importantly, I could not have scaled the event as much as I did without the grant I received from the LA County Department of Mental Health and for its #TakeActionLA initiative. Their scope of reach is amazing and their PR arm no doubt helped me with the increase in my number of 5K participants. I also am taking a little credit with my PR, fundraising, sales, and community relations skills I have acquired after all of these years! I learned a lot this second time around and with a bigger budget I also had more stress. However, it was good stress! I also learned about myself and how much I love running my non-profit, Giving Purpose Organization, and how the flagship campaign, YOU ARE ENOUGH, has the legs and heart it needs to grow and continue on to reach more people throughout the nation. My sponsors were also amazing with names like #murad #hammitt #skechers #kinecta #lacountydepartmentofmentalhealth #Kiwanis and more! With the help of these organizations I was able to put on a successful 5K, run pre-event wellness sessions that brought business/awareness to wellness practitioners, and planned co- mental health awareness days with multiple vendors. And, what I am most excited about is that with the grant I was able to get 10 billboards up in LA County, one of them being the first Spanish billboard! It is beautiful to see how people and communities are coming together to help people feel worthy, seen, and supported. The energy at the event was all about love, smiles and hugs. Thank you LinkedIn friends for supporting me on this journey as I try to figure out how I can run this full-time. I know I will make it work and I know I will reach more communities with these three powerful, supportive, and healing words! #youareenough💙 If you would like to check out photos of the event, you can check the link below. https://lnkd.in/gS8N5tBK For more information on what I am up to and how I would like to move forward with the non-profit and movement, please visit Giving Purpose Organization. #mentalhealthmatters #peacewithin #worthy #youarenotalone #community #5K #depressionisreal #purpose #causeandeffect #nonprofit
