This is not a political post. It’s a human rights support post. It’s a post in support of religious freedom. We all know what is happening in Israel is not okay. If that’s “political” then we have lost sight of our values as Americans. And when it comes to our values on the world stage, we need politicians to speak on our behalf. Yet our politicians have remained largely silent until yesterday. What happens to Israel has far reaching consequences for Israelis, for the Jewish diaspora but also for the Western world at large. Do we accept religious persecution? Do we accept civilians deaths? Do we accept yet another war for Israel and the Middle East? How do we help support peace? That should always be the question. But we also need to help protect Israel from further attacks. All questions outside of my field of expertise and frankly, ones that even experts grapple with, but we have to understand the importance of Israel, the importance of civil rights, the importance of religious rights, and above all else, the importance of human life. Regardless of your religion, say a prayer for the people living through this tough time, and if you are so inclined, I’ll drop a link for support.
the amount of justification or attempted justification I've seen the past few days regarding Hamas' attacks is astounding. Personally, I don't see this conflict resolving peacefully. They may temporarily ceasefire via peace talks, but it will not ever truly be peaceful. While the modern conflict started post WWI, the root cause is ancient. Palestinians will not stop until Israel is no more, and Israelis will not stop until Gaza and the West Bank are part of Israel. That's just the reality. They both believe the land is theirs and both believe they have a legitimate legal claim to that land.
Thank you.
It blows my mind that anyone would support murder of any kind. I don't claim to understand the situation in any way but people coming out to support anyone that directly caused the death of hundreds is truly baffling.
Thank you Crystal Ware, ESQ, CPCU for this important post about human rights.
Peace through love, kindness and compassion 💘💘🙏🙏
Witnessing the emotion of one of the anchors as she was reporting on the latest developments made my stomach churn. I became emotional myself; how can you not be? These people are living in a nightmare. Prayers for Israel.
Thank you for this thoughtful post Crystal.
Thank you for supporting Israel 🇮🇱 We are going through a horrific time.
Crystal Ware, ESQ, CPCU thank you for your support!
