At least 80% of the HVAC equipment manufacturers play the short game, creating basic offers and products with:   👉 Lower upfront cost 👉 Limited support 👉 Reactive maintenance 👉 Less energy efficiency   About 20% or less are focused on complete HVAC solutions, which typically have:   ✅ Higher initial investment ✅ Full lifecycle support ✅ Proactive, predictive maintenance ✅ Energy efficient systems   Strategic investors know that complete HVAC solutions aren't just about comfort.   They're about long-term ROI, sustainability, and staying ahead in a competitive market. Those who think beyond today in their HVAC choices are the visionaries who will reap tomorrow's success.   Are you prepared for the future?   #HVAC #SmartBuildings #SustainableInvesting #GFFlowBuildingSolutions

I would say this is also similar for end-users such as property developers. I have worked with companies, projects, and clients where life cycle assessment (LCA) played a crucial role in the installed mechanical systems, and they took it very seriously. This was especially true for companies from Scandinavian backgrounds. Even 20 years ago, we spent weeks on simulations to check if the Energy Efficiency Ratio of the systems could be increased by a decimal and assessed whether the extra investment would pay off in a few years. I am unsure if this was a general practice or if I was fortunate to work with forward-thinking companies two decades ago. However, today, I observe a lot of hypocrisy and greenwashing. Companies frequently discuss Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and "green buildings," but the main concern is the cost reduction. They dismiss the need for LCA, and the efficiency of the mechanical systems is rarely addressed. It is laughable to see these companies promoting "green values" and participating conferences on ESG while knowing it is merely a marketing tactic. Or simply lies. Even worse, it reflects a lack of expertise.
