Recent research has unveiled a groundbreaking deep-learning model capable of predicting the transition from normal cardiac rhythm to atrial fibrillation 30 minutes before it happens! 🏥 The WARN (Warning of Atrial fibRillatioN) model boasts an impressive accuracy of around 80% and could pave the way for early warning systems built into wearable technologies. This could be a game-changer in cardiac care, allowing patients to take preventive measures well before an episode begins. Trained and tested on 24-hour recordings from 350 patients, WARN provides early warnings on average 30 minutes before the onset of atrial fibrillation. This is a significant leap forward in the field of arrhythmia prediction, as it marks the first method to provide warnings far from the onset of an episode. What’s more, this model can be implemented in smartphones to process data from smartwatches, bringing advanced cardiac monitoring right to the wrist of the patient! This innovation empowers patients to become the point of care, offering them a chance to take control of their health. Exciting times ahead in the world of cardiac healthcare! 💖 Follow for more such insightful news in the space of healthcare! #CardiacCare #AtrialFibrillation #DeepLearning #HealthcareInnovation #WearableTechnology #HealthTech

Just remember that the collected data points need to be properly and clinically validated.
What an amazing review this is on Wearables in Clinical Practice for Depression. I was particularly taken but this data framework: ⌚ Raw measurement from wearable sensors ( data cleaned and processed ) ➡ Low level features obtained ( data mapped against contexts like location, time of day ) ➡ High level patterns of potential clinical relevance ( machine learning ) ➡ Clinical states related to depressive symptoms Cardiology could learn some lessons from this elegant framework...anyone interested in working on it together?
