Brain herniation syndromes are a group of neurological disorders that occur when the brain tissue is displaced from its normal position due to increased pressure within the skull, leading to compression of vital structures within the brain, resulting in severe neurological deficits and even death. https://lnkd.in/gdJCjUUv #consultdoctor #urgentmedicalattention #diagnosiscrucial #qualifiedhealthcareprofessional #accurateinformation #seekprofessionaladvice #avoidselfdiagnosis

Understanding NAD+ Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+) is a vital compound found in every cell. It exists in two forms: NAD+ and NADH. Essentially, NAD+ helps your cells turn food into energy and supports processes like DNA repair and reducing inflammation. When given in high doses through an IV, NAD+ goes straight to the cells, making it useful for anti-aging and recovery from intense activities. NAD+ therapy can help with conditions like PTSD, depression, anxiety, and stress by supporting brain health and function. Low NAD+ levels can lead to low energy in cells, but boosting NAD+ can improve energy and repair cell damage.

The most significant neurological disorders that contribute to health burden are: - Dementia - Epilepsy - Meningitis - Migraine - Stroke Brain health conditions can arise at any point in life and are characterized by disturbances in regular brain development and operation. NOTE: To effectively manage these conditions and enhance quality of life, it is important to implement control measures such as early detection, regular monitoring, and targeted treatments.

Had an incredible experience at NYC Neuromodulation Conference this past week. The term “electroceuticals” has been coined. The science is burgeoning around the world. NIBS (non invasive brain stimulation) includes TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation), tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation), tACS (transcranial alternating current stimulation), and a few other sundry cats and dogs. These modalities are best studied in what I call disorders of suffering, the overlapping diagnoses of depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic pain. But clinician researchers are extending it into other brain disorders such as dementia and movement disorders. Luminaries of the field graciously shared their insights including Marom Bikson, Prasad Shirvalkar, Nolan Williams, Michael Fox, Colleen Hanlon, and many others. Kudos to the organizing committee! I have been facsinated by neuroplasticity since the beginning of my career. And we have never had so many tools at our disposal, from #electroceuticals to #psychedelics, to transform disorders of suffering! The most common reasons world wide for years lived with disability are #depression, #backpain, and #musculoskeletalpain. Longevity does not matter if people are miserable! The next decade is going to be transformative and spectacular. #tms #neuroplasticity #neurotech #neuromodulation #NIBS #trauma JoJo Platt Laila F.M. Contractor, M.D. #psychedelicmedicine #tDCS

Business Development Manager at Magstim | Eastern Region | USA | Passionate About TMS Applications in Neuromodulation and Clinical Medicine | Experienced Endocannabinoid Researcher
I would be really interested in learning more about how neuromodulatory treatments have been adjusted for personalized therapy! Patients can come with a variety of adverse childhood and sociocultural experiences that can impact care. I am curious to learn more on how this would correlate to TMS effectiveness based on protocol as well. Thank you Clinical TMS Society for promoting this talk! #neuroscience #neuromodulation #tms #personalizedmedicine
Dr. Joseph Taylor, a Harvard expert in brain stimulation, is presenting at CTMSS 2024! Dr. Taylor is actively researching and developing new treatment approaches for conditions like depression and anxiety.
