A tastefully-decorated venue with relatively small capacity for about 30 patrons; ability to converse with some degree of privacy; sufficient separation between tables; personalized service; and cuisine prepared by passionate, specialized chefs. The restaurant shown Jan. 18, 2025 is in a 5-star hotel in Taipei but does not check any of the above-mentioned boxes. However it serves a popular self-serve, all-you-can-eat buffet. Patrons pay NT$1,848 (about US$56) per person including 10% service charge for dinner Mon. through Thu., and NT$2,288 (about US$69) on the other nights. In short you pay upscale prices for a self-served meal of ordinary food accompanied by perhaps 100 strangers in what looks like a massive cafeteria. #IdealForHungryUndemandingDiners
