Wellbeing calendar - hobbies & interests Wellbeing in the workplace isn’t only about what happens in the workplace. To give just one example, having hobbies and interests outside of work helps to improve our focus, increase and deepen life satisfaction, and allow our mind and body the chance to reset and rejuvenate. When your workplace culture recognises the importance of life outside work, you’re creating an environment that is inclusive and safe for your employees. These are just a few of the ways you can do that in your organisation: 1.        Be supportive of the hobbies and interests that your employees already have. 2.        Invite local sports clubs, craftspeople and artists into the workplace so your team can discover new skills and hobbies. 3.        Provide opportunities for employees to connect outside of work through shared interests (if they want to). Well-being Tuesday.. Tomorrow myself and a number of colleagues will embark on a wellness walk - I for one, are very much looking forward to it. Wellbeing days, also known as mental health days, can be important for employees and businesses: For employees Wellbeing days allow employees to recharge and focus on their mental and physical health, which can help them return to work feeling refreshed and ready to perform their best. They can also show employees that their employer values them and trusts them to make good use of the time. For businesses Wellbeing days can help lower stress, boost morale, and improve productivity. They can also reflect a growing openness to discussing wellness in the workplace, which can help create positive working environments where everyone can thrive. Happy Employees / Happy Workplace

Last week was a busy week! I enjoyed facilitating a workplace wellness workshop with Stephan/Argyle Central School staff.
