First job can have a significantly shape your future career. That’s why it’s crucial to be strategic: 1) seek out companies that value your skills and offer opportunities to explore different roles. In your first job, look for a place that encourages trying new areas, supports learning from controlled failures, and helps new joiners gradually adapt without feeling overwhelmed. 2) Building a strong network with inspiring people and focusing on genuine growth will set you up for long-term success. 3)Remember, your career is a marathon, not a sprint.
The first decade of your career is a great time to take risks, build transferable skills, and develop some technical expertise.

In a world where everything is fast, fast food fast internet fast transport fast money fast everything...... People have become impatient, they want quick results, quick ways to grow on social media, quick ways to make money quick ways to build a skill quick ways to build habits........... Unfortunately, many valuable things take time. This is why we see many people quitting before they see the results. But winners know that they have to be consistent and patient. Remember the Jacob's Formula knowledge/skill + action + PATIENCE = success

Business Major at Grand Canyon University & Top-Performing Sales Representative at DHL Express | Helping Buisness Owners expand their Operations Worldwide
Thrilled to announce a significant achievement in my journey! 🚀 On 7/8/2024, I set a personal record by achieving 17 qualifications, making 83 dials, and spending 2 hours, 46 minutes, and 20 seconds of talk time. 🏆 These numbers represent the hard work and dedication I've put into my role. Reflecting on this achievement, I've learned three valuable lessons along the way: 1️⃣ Persistence and Resilience: I've consistently hit the phones hard, pushing myself until the very last minute of my shift. Making my last call at 3:26 PM, just before the shift ends at 3:30 PM, has taught me the importance of staying focused and giving my best effort until the very end. 2️⃣ The Role of Luck: While hard work and strategy are crucial, luck does play a role in our journey. Being at the right place at the right time, encountering receptive prospects, and experiencing favorable circumstances have certainly contributed to my achievements. 3️⃣ Continuous Growth: I believe in the power of continuous improvement. By analyzing my successes and failures, I've been able to refine my approach, enhance my communication skills, and deliver greater value to my prospects. I'm immensely grateful to have received the top performer recognition for the third time in just seven months. 🌟 This achievement speaks to the incredible support and collaboration within our team.

Proud to share that our team secured a rank of 155 in the Amazon ML Challenge, starting strong but facing an unexpected turn on the final day. 📉 From holding rank 18, we saw a surge of new team submissions jump from 300 to 2700+ in just the last hours! While this sudden shift was devastating and unbelievable, we’re still incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and problem-solving skills we demonstrated throughout the competition. 💪 Sometimes the results don’t reflect the effort, but the journey itself has been a tremendous learning experience, and we’ve grown both as individuals and as a team. On to the next challenge! 🚀 #MachineLearning #AmazonMLChallenge #LearningJourney #Teamwork #DataScience #KeepPushing #GrowthMindset
Glad to share that our team secured the 𝟭𝟱𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 out of the 𝟮,𝟰𝟯𝟴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘀 that participated in the 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗟 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! While we aren’t at the top, I’m proud of the efforts we put in and what we’ve achieved. Big thanks to my teammates Ashish Jha, Saksham Gera, and Auritra Dey for their inputs and support throughout the process. The problem statement pushed us to think unconventionally and make the best use of our knowledge and resources. It was a great learning experience and a rewarding opportunity to represent our college on a national level, competing against some incredibly talented teams across the country. Looking forward to applying what we’ve learned and doing even better in future challenges. #machinelearning #hackathon #amazon

Really interesting article, backed by LinkedIn extensive data on career paths and trajectories. Interesting to see the amount of organisations on here that it seems have looked externally for hiring leaders, rather than training and developing from within.
More than half of new leaders hired in the last year were hired externally. But what if you could create more leaders within, improving retention, promotion rates and learner engagement in the process? Click through to dive deeper: https://lnkd.in/edF5GCh8
