Here are 5 tips for #accessibility for cognitive disabilities: 1: Make information available in different formats - text, image, audio, or video. 2: Use clear, simple language and avoid jargons. 3: Provide simple and adaptable layouts. 4: Avoid distracting scrolling, blinking or flashing elements. 5: Provide enough time to read & interact with the content. The Golobal accessbility awarness day is a good reminder day ..to remember the importance of the digital accesability. We should make sure our online workplaces and services offer equal access to people who are blind , low vision, Deaf or hard of hearing, mobility disabilities or other disabilities. closed captions for example make sure to be offered for Deaf or hard of hearing. 🚨 EN 301 549 is a European standard for digital accessibility that mandates accessibility for people with disabilities in information and communication technologies. The Commission intends for this standard to be revised to include accessibility requirements for electronic communication services with regard to Real-Time Text (RTT) and Total Conversation (TC). In Europe, RTT is primarily used as Over-the-Top (OTT) apps by people who are Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing. The new standards should be fully implemented by PSAPs by 2027 at the latest, with the possibility that Native RTT will be required. Below, you can see a list of European Countries that offer RTT and TC through OTT apps, either as Peer-to-Peer calls, through Relay Services, or for Emergency Services. In the table, you can also see the locations where nWise is the RTT provider.
