Did you know Connecticut ranks as the 7th best state in the nation for women entrepreneurs? Women's Business Development Council is proud to be a part of this exciting trend. We've seen a 265% increase in women coming to WBDC for support compared to 2019, and to meet this growing demand, we're expanding! Here's what's new at WBDC: • Over $11 million in grants since 2020 awarded to 922 CT women-owned small businesses, with 43% supporting women of color. • A new Hartford CT office opening mid-September! (adding to our existing offices in Stamford, New Haven, Waterbury, and New London) WBDC has been working to create a more equitable and inclusive business landscape for women entrepreneurs in Connecticut since 1997 and we’re committed to continuing that work until Connecticut is the #1 state for women entrepreneurs.
