Part of the best way to think about the CTPSci Sciences (where it applies to #consciousness or one's consciousness (not just future propulsion systems or more advanced CTP Technologies come later), the CTPSci Sciences are based on and include the CTP Spiritual Technologies of C-domain. Thus one field (or an entire branch) of the CTPSci Sciences - can best truly be thought of as #spiritualsoftware and-or #spiritualtechnologies. THE CTP-EOS: SOFTWARE FOR COMPUTERS + C-SPIRITUAL SOFTWARE FOR ONE'S MIND Similar to installers on Windows or packages or packages installers on #Linux #desktops, people are (will be) more than free to 'install' various components of the CTP-EOS Linux distribution onto their local system. CTP C-SPIRITUAL SOFTWARE Non-physical components of the CTP-EOS: "The Extraterrestrial Operating System for One's Mind"™ - users will be able to 'download' or install parts of C-domain-level #consciousness into the non-physical C-energy Units partition of one's mind. Can anyone walk me through how to boot Kali linux VM in virtual box on a MAC Book Pro running i386 architecture? I'm running into broken grub in grub rescue and I can't seem to find solutions on forums or youtube. This video gets close to a solution however the error I am running into is not specifically addressed in the comments or video. I am unable to find a directory in (hd0,msdos1) to which the root variable is set. I am open to any work arounds or alternate methods of getting up and running with Kali Linux. SOLUTION: 32 bit lol

🚀 Excited to share my personal system configuration using Nix language! 🚀 Nix took a unique approach to package management and system configuration. With Nixos, you can create systems that are: reproducible, declarative, and reliable With Nixos, you have your entire system configuration on 1 single file, or more. This allows you to have a back up of your entire system with just a few mb in size. Furthermore, the process of restoring those back up is very simple: Place the file to where it belong, rebuild the system, and wait 20 minutes. This is way faster than having to remember each and every things you have done to your system, and redo all of it. Finally, using Nix with Git allows you to have version control of your environment. You broke something in Nixos? Git revert, easy fix. There appears to be another #SupplyChainAttack that will be announced this week, this time in #libarchive. The code was edited by the same threat actor that introduced the supply chain attack last week in the #XZ library. The CVE score of the XZ vulnerability is a 10.0, with 10.0 being the worst. What could happen with the libarchive vulnerability is the attacker could obfuscate the contents of the archive file. What is more concerning with this attack is that libarchive is also used by Windows 11, not just Linux, though unclear at this time is if any of the Windows 11 code calls the malformed method. Libarchive is a library for compression. If you are so inclined, you can read the community comments in this thread. https://lnkd.in/gK9AXYZp. The great thing about open source software is the community can inspect it and find issues such as this. Most likely people started looking at other commits from the threat actor and that is how they found this. As to how it was allowed in the first place, it is unrealistic to expect every open source maintainer to be an expert at everything, while volunteering for a project that pays zero, while also working a full time job. #oss #cve

The socket created when a TCP client connects to a listening socket is called a 'child socket'. Pretty trivial bit of info until you try to google for it. This is because because there is too much overlap with searches of "child process" + "socket". And because it's a term rarely used outside kernel developer circles, apparently. Reference in the kernel code: https://lnkd.in/diqawSiK Oh and another fun fact. To accept a connection you call accept() on a file descriptor, and get back a file descriptor. But the child socket wasn't associated with a file descriptor until accept was called. Do with it as you will. It is proving a bit of a pain for something I'm trying to do though. And I've come to appreciate the fact that write(), read() and close() calls all take nondescriptive (pun intended) file descriptors as input, a lot less lately. Say you see that your application is write()-ing something, can you tell it's a disk file or a network socket? Can you?... Does it matter though? Of course it does. Go figure. The OS is giving you a nice abstraction, you have fun untangling it.
