Dedicated to MedTech & HealthTech - Connecting Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Clinical Research & Commercial Professionals | 18 Years Specialist Recruitment Experience | Co-Founder of Indo Search
What culture are you joining? A) The company that needs to find a way through this regulatory nonsense. B) The company that will invest in and empower its regulatory compliance team. I spoke with a Head of RA/QA at a MedTech company who joined as a Regulatory Manager. Within two years, she built a team of five, covering everything from regulatory compliance to post-market surveillance. The company embraces her recommendations, supports her growth, and provides the autonomy she needs to flourish. Conversely, another Head of RA/QA at a different MedTech company is now the sole team member after two years. The company prioritises shipping products and meeting commercial targets over compliance. He is stretched thin and desperate to leave. How to avoid company B: Ask during interviews: Team structure & growth: What is the current structure and growth plans for the regulatory compliance team? Support & resources: What resources are available to ensure regulatory compliance is well supported? Company priorities: How does the company balance regulatory compliance with commercial goals? Leadership commitment: Speak with senior leadership about their commitment to compliance. Do your research: Employee insights: Reach out to current or former employees on LinkedIn or ask to meet them as part of the interview process. Company reputation: Check the company’s reputation in the industry for compliance and ethical standards. Public feedback Platforms like Glassdoor and Indeed give voice to current and former employees, ask at interviews about the feedback and, if negative, what measures are in place for improvements. Don't be afraid to ask tough questions to ensure the company is committed to supporting your role and professional growth. Have you ever joined a company that isn't backing you in regulatory compliance? What questions do you now ask to ensure you are joining the right company? #RegulatoryAffiars #MedTech

Question for my #regulatoryaffairs friends in #medicaldevices, I see some of you in Post Market Surveillance roles handling CAPA. Is it just implementing and documenting CAPA or does it include collaborating with QA and other teams to prevent CAPA?
