Why should you invest in the UNIT4 Training Rifle? It allows you to own your training in your environment. It installs accountability into your training regiment. Pie corners, work thresholds, and train your team (your family/friends) at home by shooting targets and each other with paint rounds. #ownyourtraining #trainathome

At Modern Athlete Strength Systems (MASS), we get it. Tactical athletes—military, law enforcement, firefighters—don’t train just to check a box. You train to stay in the fight, to protect your team, and to perform under pressure. It’s not about winning some gym competition; it’s about real-world performance when lives are on the line. We design our programs to enhance strength, endurance, and resilience, so you’re prepared for the moments that truly matter. Whether you're kicking in doors, pulling someone to safety, or leading from the front, your training is your edge. Time to stop exercising and start training for life. https://lnkd.in/e69UUxhh #TacticalAthlete #ModernAthlete #Preparedness #FunctionalFitness #Military #LEO #Firefighter

In 1969 the Army utilized the Physical Combat Proficiency Test (PCPT). The test involved 5 events: low crawl, horizontal ladder, dodge/run/jump, grenade throw (substituted with a man-carry for combat support personnel), and a 1-mile run, and participants had to complete the events in their uniform pants and boots. For combat purposes, a minimum of 60 points was required in EACH of the five events. Failure to attain these standards on any one event constitutes test failure regardless of total score. To achieve a minimum of 60 points in the run you needed to achieve a 8:30-8:33 or faster mile. Flash forward 55 years and the current version in 2024 which is the known as The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) has a two mile run where the minimum pace needed to pass is a 11 min mile or 22 min two mile run. That is roughly a 29.41% slower pace needed to pass. So the question is…. Are standards being lowered? If so what will continue to happen??? It is projected by 2030 50% of the US Adult population will be obese and only around 24.2% of adults aged 18 and older met the 2018 Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans for both aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities. “Few recruits are physically fit for the arduous duties ahead of them. The softening influences of our mechanized civilization add difficulties to the problem of conditioning men and thereby make physical fitness more important than ever before.” FM 21-20, Physical Readiness Training (1969)

Hello everyone The last few weeks have been very disconcerting for folks in Australia, especially Sydney. A not-so-well known fact about me is that as well as a martial arts tragic, I am a licensed instructor in personal combatives, the self protection training that is a "civilianised" version of the methods from Kinetic Fighting (KEF GROUP) taught to all our soldiers, the NZDF, Thai Defence and soon the US Defence forces. Developed by Paul Cale, former 2 Commando with multiple deployments in various war theatres, and holder of dan rankings in multiple martial arts, the training assumes no prior knowledge in any martial art, as it was initially designed for fresh military recruits. Edged weapon survival skills are clearly a key part of this framework, and there are modules specifically designed to address these non-consensual violent encounters with bad actors. this is top of mind for many Sydney-siders right now. If you are Sydney based and have safety concerns, or want to know more, there are a couple of options for you to gain some skills in this area. I am running the next series in Sydney in May, go here https://lnkd.in/g73yTQ3C for more information and registration. Elsewhere in Australia, my colleagues in self protection also run these in main centres, and the information is available here: https://lnkd.in/gyR86tSh We can easily adapt this for Workplace Training - if this is something you are interested in, please reach out to me directly. If you want some more information I am happy to help out. #keepsafe #selfprotection #realworldproblem

Army ROTC Academic Alignment is VERY important. In a nutshell, it lays out a Cadet/ Students graduation/ commissioning roadmap from start to finish. As long as they are aligned, things flow a lot smoother! #armyrotc #joinarmyrotc #discipline #armyofficer #fitnessmotivation #inspiration #motivation #armystrong #rotc

ALL HEART !! This is what unarmed combat training I impart. This is what I have learnt. The art is to fight in the street, I have always trained for that. Take all the protective gear out, I am at my best. Yes, I have got hit, there are no fakes, this guy has just started the journey in unarmed combat. To develop the HEART, you need to break the rules. All the coaching manuals and fighting techniques tell you to fight inside the ring. I am teaching him to fight outside of it. Apart from the gloves, there is nothing. Never ever the terrorists have followed the route which were taught in the academy, believe me I have seen it being Tier 1 Operative. Try and develop.. THE HEART!! #mindset #culture #unarmedcombat #specialforces #inspiration
