Ensuring our associates stay engaged is a top priority on our HR agenda. As part of our HR Trends series, we recently had a chat with Jessica Bendel, Director of Talent Management & Organization Development EMEA, and Tatiana Solovieva, HR Director CloudBlue, who shared with us how they engage with our associates. These were the main take-aways: During our conversation Jessica shared some powerful insights about the initiatives and tools available for associate engagement within our organization. A prominent aspect in this context is the "Launch into Leadership Framework”, which provides a clear path for growth and development. As Jessica shared with us, we have additionally implemented a "Career Philosophy". An initiative that focuses on internal career advancement. We strongly believe in actively seeking feedback from our associates through our Engagement Pulse surveys, as it allows us to understand their needs and support them effectively and enhances our overall employee experience efforts. As an organization, our goal is not only to foster employee engagement but, more importantly, to actively listen to what our employees have to say.” As a tip for all associates, Jessica emphasized the importance of taking initiative and not waiting for others to drive your growth – if associates want something, they should raise hands and go for it. In our discussion, Tatiana highlighted the importance of evaluating and addressing challenges and opportunities within our organization. She emphasized the need to involve our associates into problem solving and organization development. As Tatiana shared with us “Regarding the results of the Engagement Survey, our associates voted for the topics which they think are the most critical for the organization. They defined innovation, customer focus and communication, as most important. Three working groups comprised of volunteered associates evaluate those results and suggested improvement plans.” Tatiana referred to feedback of one of Senior professional who works with customers “This is great that Senior Leadership Team hear our voices and act accordingly”. Tatiana mentioned that Ingram Micro has a strong culture based on values which have been captured in the Tenets of Success. Associates frequently use these as a reference discussing their current work or plans for future. She stressed the importance of flexibility and efforts in maintaining this culture, whilst also considering the well-being and personal lives of our people. Tatiana encourages associates to approach their jobs with creativity, adaptability, and the ability to prioritize effectively. This valuable insight from Tatiana could inspire us to overcome obstacles together to foster a thriving work environment.
