Analysis can be broken down into 👇👇👇 •Horizontal Analysis This technique measures year-on-year growth by comparing financial data over multiple periods. It helps identify trends and assess the rate of change in key metrics. •Vertical Analysis expresses each line item in a financial statement as a percentage of a base amount. This allows for comparison within a single period, such as expressing each expense as a percentage of total sales. •Enterprise Multiples use variables before interest, like EBITDA or EBIT, to assess company valuation. They provide insights into the overall value of the business relative to its earnings potential. •Price Multiples involve variables after interest, such as earnings per share (EPS) or net income. They focus on the stock price relative to these earnings metrics, reflecting the value of a company's equity. It is calculated by dividing EBIT by interest expense. •Return on Equity (ROE) ROE indicates how efficiently a company uses shareholders’ equity to generate profit. It is calculated as net income divided by shareholders' equity. •Return on Assets (ROA) ROA assesses how effectively a company uses its assets to generate profit. It is computed by dividing net income by total assets. •EBIT % EBIT percentage represents earnings before interest and taxes as a percentage of total revenue. It highlights the proportion of revenue converted into operating profit. •Net Income % Net income percentage shows net income as a percentage of total revenue. It reflects the portion of revenue that remains as profit after all expenses.
