At the heart of our mission as a business, is a commitment to giving back and creating meaningful change in the communities where we operate. Last year, through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, we invested over USD $2.5 million in community projects and charities globally. In Uruguay, we have been improving the quality of living and creating opportunities for the local community near our Kiyu wind farm in San José through a series of initiatives including: 🏀 Enhancing Public Spaces: Donating equipment and materials for the construction of sports courts and park benches, supporting active and healthy lifestyles. 👩🔧 Empowering Women: Supporting a craft centre in Kiyu that provides employment opportunities for female artisanal workers. 🎓 Improving Education Facilities: Contributing funds to the construction of a modern canteen at a school on the outskirts of Montevideo, benefiting hundreds of students. Our recently published ESG report highlights our dedication to community engagement, and our approach to partnerships and social development projects. In a world facing increasingly complex challenges, Social Foundations have become a pillar of hope for millions of people and their communities. However, as needs grow, so do the financial challenges they must navigate. In this paper, we explore an innovative approach to strengthening the financial capacity of Social Foundations, allowing them to not rely exclusively on sporadic donations. We immerse ourselves in a RECURRING DONATIONS PLAN that seeks to exponentially increase the income of the Social Foundations, thus ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of their programs towards the vulnerable population. Throughout these pages, we will discover how Social Foundations benefit from alliances with water bottling companies. This strategic collaboration not only seeks to generate additional income for the Social Foundations, but also focuses on the promotion of key values, such as sustainability and universal access to roads, floors, furniture and buildings that are manufactured with waste in PACKAGING ECOLOGICAL SUPRA RECYCLABLE. https://lnkd.in/dbfQKsGR Cordialmente, FREDY CASTELLANOS BOTERO info@r-usable.com +34 664524914 +57 3102877780 #Anesvad #Ashoka #AsociacionMinga #AyudaEnAccion #BancoDeAlimentos #BomberosSinFronteras #CasaAlianza #CruzRoja #DerechosHumanos #DesarrolloSostenible #EducacionParaElDesarrollo #EmergenciaClimatica #FondoDePoblacion #FundacionBillGates #FundacionCarlosSlim #FundacionGates #FundacionONCE #FundacionRepsol #FundacionTelefonica #FundacionVodafone

Embracing the spirit of thoughtful contributions. Today's best practices come from All Dreams Cambodia that sets a remarkable example of how companies can profoundly impact their communities and beyond. Their dedication to cultural preservation, education, and environmental protection highlights the diverse avenues through which organizations can contribute to society's improvement. 🍀 By actively supporting local events, All Dreams Cambodia not only celebrates the rich tapestry of local culture but also opens the doors for others, including staff, friends, and guests, to appreciate and partake in these cultural experiences. As well their support for an association that equips children from underprivileged backgrounds with education and vital art skills. 🌍Donations are done also through initiatives like the annual charity party lucky draw and scholarships. 🔝 Noteworthy is their financial commitment, allocating money annually, which includes supporting students for study tours, and contributing to environmental protection through membership fees. This approach to donations—spanning financial, in-kind contributions, and sharing expertise—exemplifies the multifaceted impact businesses can have. Do you know other examples of donations or contributions towards the communities or environment? FEEDBACK TO GIVE BACK QuantiFire has historically collaborated with our clients to help to raise money for various charities, such as LendWithCare and Plan International, through our FEEDBACK TO GIVE BACK initiative. We do this in recognition of the time that investors take to give feedback and we are very proud to have generated over £40,000 for good causes. New Partnership with Evertreen Today is Earth Day 2024 and to mark this occasion we are pleased to announce our new partnership with Evertreen, who we will support by funding tree planting around the world. Planting trees helps the environment by enriching ecosystems, reducing soil erosion and by improving the quality of our atmosphere. It also creates important economic opportunities in low-income communities, generating long-term employment for those engaged in establishing and monitoring the schemes. QuantiFire has kick-started this initiative by funding the planting of 500 trees, initially in Madagascar. About Evertreen Evertreen is currently active across 14 countries and has successfully planted over 1 million trees. All trees are native to that area and are planted directly by local farmers, delivering environmental, social and economic benefits. Each tree is certified, geo-located and can be physically visited. Learn more at www.evertreen.com. #EarthDay; #Sustainability; #Feedbacktogiveback; #FeedbackIntelligence Watch QuantiFire's feedback forest grow at https://lnkd.in/eed3T2YK

Thank you Darren Walker You have addressed critical concerns about financing considerations for indigenous people. Unfortunately, indigenous-led organisations are frequently perceived as incompetent, which is why they frequently receive rejection emails from funders. To democratically fund indigenous peoples, funders should not judge them based on their ability to write grants and proposals.Instead, funders should assist indigenous peoples in developing their organisational capacities and staff experience. Many indigenous-led initiatives are designed by persons who have no connection to indigenous peoples. This is why we see big projects fail upon their arrival. This is the time to put indigenous people in charge of financial decisions; they should not be utilised to fill statistics or data, but instead be considered decision makers.
Funding to Indigenous organizations remains insufficient, inequitable, and inflexible. Donors, including Ford, must do better to ensure that frontline communities have more access to direct funding. https://lnkd.in/eTTZpHdA

CEO & Co-Founder International Reforestation Charity, Author & Broadcaster Sustainable Living, Patron of Dorset Women CIC, RSA Fellow: Seeking Environmental NED Role
😣 It is almost impossible to explain to potential (corporate partners and individual) donors how important it is that solemn pledges made to Word Forest - no matter how large or small - are made good. Our team work flat out to mitigate against the devastating effects of our climate emergency. We're working flat out to save lives! We're environmental paramedics and today, I'm the one needing the defib! There shouldn't be a need to highlight how terrifyingly deadly the climate emergency is right now, and how much more terrifyingly deadly things are going to become in the not too distant future. Extreme weather events and other associated devastating occurrences are taking place all over the planet. At the same time, sizeable chunks are being bitten out of the edges of UK. Word Forest's work cannot reverse the shocking trend of weather extremes. We can only prevent things from worsening, but we've got a blooming long way to go reforesting Kenya before that is going to be the case. We need every penny promised by individuals and businesses, every single penny! I understand Simon's frustration today and I share it. No names will be mentioned here - that's not professional and it's not how we roll, but my goodness, I am unbelievably deflated. By simply existing as a human, you create CO2 emissions. You can't even take a poo without putting pressure on the Earth's resources in some fashion or other. Please, please take responsbility for what you do and plant trees in the tropics with Word Forest, where they grow up to 10 times faster than here in northern latitudes. They are - quite literally - our best, cheapest, most efficient bet for squaring off what you're emitting right now. That doesn't tackle any of the historic CO2 in the atmosphere - that needs to be done too - and bloody urgently! Stop putting posts up willy nilly saying how terrible the climate crisis is - if you actually 'get' the gravity of the Earth's climate emergency, please visit WordForest.org/donate. Square up your CO2 debt to the planet today with Word Forest if you want a chance at having an OK tomorrow.
As a representative of a charity committed to environmental sustainability (Word Forest), I feel compelled to address a significant and disheartening issue: the gap between promises and action. Every day, our charity works tirelessly to make a tangible difference, such as planting trees in Kenya to combat deforestation and support local communities. We reach out to corporates and individuals, seeking donations to continue this vital work. Often, we receive enthusiastic promises of support, which initially fill us with hope and motivation. However, too frequently, these promises remain unfulfilled. Even more disconcerting are those who publicly proclaim their support and contribution, yet fail to follow through. This not only hampers our efforts but also undermines the trust and credibility essential for effective charity work. Our ask is modest: just £2.50 for each tree we plant in Kenya. For businesses with products valued at £100 or more, this is a minimal contribution with a substantial impact. It's a small step that can make a significant difference, not just in terms of environmental sustainability but also in empowering the communities we serve. The disconnect between pledges and actions is more than just a frustration; it directly affects our capacity to effect change. Each corporate relationship takes a large investment of our very limited time. When promises go unfulfilled, the real-world impact is on those who depend on our work -communities in Kenya who rely on the trees for their livelihoods and environment. I urge everyone, but most especially the corporates who make public promises, to bridge this gap between intention and action. If you promise to help, please follow through. Your contributions, no matter how small, can have a profound impact. Let's not just talk the talk, but walk the walk and make a lasting difference together. #CharityWork #Sustainability #CorporateResponsibility #ActNow
