Candidate for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2024 Manufacturing - Industrial Engineering at Texas Instruments
Watching protests unfold at universities across the country, and the responses to them, I can’t help but think the real problem isn’t where to place blame, but how to prevent non-violent protests from getting out of control. Any time a protest is too crowded, there’s always someone willing to ruin it and complicate the situation. How do we advocate for issues we care about without causing more harm? The answer is we listen to each other. Everyone’s quick to pick sides these days, but not enough people are listening: not at universities, not in the Middle East, and not in Congress. When I was younger, my father served in the Middle East, stationed on ships off the coasts of Israel and Lebanon. When I was in the Navy, I was in the exact same area. Two generations of my family have witnessed conflict in the Middle East unfold, and here we are still watching it today. How can we expect the people in the Middle East to come to a peaceful, non-violent solution to their ongoing conflicts if we can’t even talk about them without violence here in the United States? No matter the situation, brutality is not the answer. Whether it’s Israel versus Palestine, protesters vs. police, or Republicans vs. Democrats, there are always non-violent solutions if we seek to understand each other instead of demanding to be understood. Your next congressperson, Ernest Lineberger https://lnkd.in/gwK8q4Q2 Ernest Lineberger is a retired Naval Officer / veteran, engineer, and the Democratic nominee for the open seat in TX-26. Momentum is building to flip this seat in November and keep it out of the hands of a MAGA extremist. We'd love the chance to earn your support and hope you will follow our campaign to flip the House and defend democracy. Paid for by Lineberger for US Congress

September 11, 2024 The border crisis has been moved, by the Biden/Harris Administration, across America to your state where your state tax dollars will have to deal with all the medical, hospital, educational, housing, crime and other costs for the millions of illegals. An army of terrorist “gotaways” are now in America. An estimated 100,000 gotaways a month, 1,200,000 a year. Are they criminals, sex predators, mentally ill, human traffickers, gang members, drug cartel members, terrorists or sleeper cells? An army of terrorists now in America will make the 911 World Trade Center look like a warm-up and no one is paying attention! Only 19 terrorists to take out the World Trade Center and we have over one million, per year, “gotaways” that crossed the border. Just think what 190,000 terrorists will be able to do. The border and America are not secure. Our cities are not safe. America is not safe.
Today, we remember the immense sacrifices made on September 11th, a day that forever changed our nation. We honor the bravery of the first responders, the strength of the survivors, and the memory of those who perished. On this Patriot Day, let us stand together in unity, as we always have, to remember and to proclaim: Never Forget.

Putting Personal Disputes Ahead of What’s Best for the Organization. Ref: https://lnkd.in/e8KHcYTf I came across a video 2013 presentation by Steve Knott, Army War College, discussing the Battle of Gettysburg, and the human dynamics behind J.E.B. Stewart's fateful ride around the Union Army. I would appreciate your comments on the following Steve Knott quote: “It's human nature; people will put interpersonal, frictions, tensions, rivalries ahead of what’s best for the organization. I don’t care if you work for IBM, the US Army, or the Confederate Army; people will do that. Nine times out of ten, they will put their own personal disputes ahead of what’s best for the organization. It’s something, as a senior leader, you always must be on guard to watch out for.” 1. Do you agree with Knott's observation? 2. How do you try to ensure that the good of the organization is placed ahead of the personal disputes of your subordinates?

Today, June 14, is Flag Day. Flag Day celebrates the official symbol for the United States: our Stars and Stripes. Flag Day was first recognized by Congress on June 14, 1777, which became know as Flag Day. Not only is the U.S. flag older than the Union Jack of Great Britain and the tri-color flag of France, but also is the only flag to have been flown on the moon. Congress first stated that there should be a star and stripe for every state. Our first flag had 13 stars and 7 red and 6 white stripes. In 1794, two new states were added and we had a flag with 15 stars and 15 stripes. By 1818 there were 20 states, but our county was still using the flag with 15 stars and 15 stripes. Congress thought about having 20 stripes and agreed that it might become a problem because of its size so they passed a law that said there would be 13 stripes for the original 13 states, and they would add a star for each new state that joined the union. The U.S. flag is 13 stripes: seven red and six white. A blue field with 50 stars is located next to the staff in the upper left corner of the flag. It extends from the top to the lower edge of the fourth red stripe. The stars are arranged in alternating rows of six and five representing the 50 states of the United States. The stars do not represent any given state. The colors used in the flag give special meaning to the flag: Red for valor and zeal; white for hope and cleanliness of life; and blue — the color of heaven — for reverence and loyalty. The stars are an ancient symbol of the heavens. Our flag’s 50 stars represent each state as part of the nation, but also a separate level of government. Our federal government was not given the power to control, so that each state would be able to govern themselves in those things they could do better. When you are looking at the flag, you are looking at the magnificent history of all Americans who have lived before us, your own ancestors, the most enduring nation of free people that has ever existed. 🇺🇸 #VFW #VFWCA #FlagDay #Veterans #USFlag #UnitedStatesFlag

“Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do.” - Potter Stewart☮️🇺🇸☯️
Medal of Honor… Speaking as a veteran, Don-old Drumpf’s vitriolic and narcissistic ignorance no longer has the potency to cause me upset. I am desensitized, immune. It just now further heightens my hyper vigilance to the degree needed in order to see he is only emblematic of too many amongst us unable to understand what selfless service is about. What’s the most important and unbreakable bond among the 18% of our population we call Veterans? At some point in our lives we committed to selfless service by signing a contract with our fellow taxpayers and elected legislators. That contract included committing to exchanging our lives so that the ideas and principles enshrined in our Constitution would be safeguarded. Making this commitment without hesitation or mental reservation. Because that is how our democracy functions, even when those of us protecting it don’t always get to exercise it (“thank you for your sacri-ervice”) and that above all else must always be the case. Doubt me? Then go ask General (R) Mark Milley. I ask this of every veteran intending to cast a vote for Donald Trump. Would you honestly follow Donald into battle? Maybe this video will help with your answer or response. https://lnkd.in/gFx4arHf Your answer will then tell you all you need to know about just how seriously you were committed to your oath in protecting this country. From all enemies, domestic and foreign. Up and down the election ballot. The headline in the article linked below is cowardly deceiving. Disingenuous at best. Drumpf’s sentiments and actions pertaining to our military and veteran community are far beyond the realm of “asinine.” Rather they are recognized as ones’s of a dictator in training, where treason and bullying both serve the same master. Doubt me? Ask General (R) Mark Milley. https://lnkd.in/gq_MaRgi

Memorial Day is a time to honor the fallen service members of the U.S. military. As we approach this important day, here are four key points to remember: 1. National Moment of Remembrance: At 3 p.m. local time, observe a minute of silence to pay respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 2. Purpose: Memorial Day specifically honors those who died in military service. Let's take a moment to remember and honor their bravery and sacrifice. 3. This is actually the most accurate description of Chowder II/FD2030 haters I’ve ever read. Well played Duffleblog!
With the refrain, “From our board rooms to the sea, Force Design makes us seethe!” echoing across the Potomac, Marine Corps University (MCU) joined the ranks of institutions of higher learning occupied by raucous protestors. But while Columbia University activists chant in solidarity with puckish hostage-taking and mild rape, MCU’s dissidents are raising their voices against the institution they once led.
