The fourth and final post in our “Breathe the Mission into your Fundraising Event” Series. If you haven’t viewed our last three posts and videos, please go back and review to fully understand this specific post. We started with that special moment watching the children at Academy Prep Centers for Education Prep passionately saying that daily convocation in the school hall. We then saw the teachers, staff, and alumni leading the guests at the Gala event in reciting that convocation. And how about that impactful video that was shown before the Bid from the Heart (Paddle Raise)? Now it's GO time. Time to maximize the emotional impact and transform emotion into giving. At Auction Horizon, we believe everything that happens on the fundraising stage should be with the intent of maximizing fundraising potential and building giving momentum. The wording is intentional. Gestures are intentional. Energy is intentional. Emotion is intentional. We also know that time is of the essence when it comes to maximizing the money raised. For this reason, we work very closely with the client on timing and scripting. Adrian and Da’Shaun, the alumni featured in the impact video shared in yesterday’s post, were able to attend the event amid their busy schedules. The big question was: How do we incorporate these two gentlemen into the giving moment after the very impactful video without losing momentum and too much very precious fundraising time? The result can be seen in this video. Adrian and Da’Shaun walked onto that stage after the video and became part of the fundraising team. The positioning on stage was intentional. The scripting was intentional. They opened the door for Tarryn to introduce that first big level and maximize the power of the give at $25,000. The final part of breathing that Mission into the audience. The result? $125,000 raised on the first level of giving. A few hundred thousand dollars raised over the remaining levels. To sum it all up, many components go into a successful fundraising event, but MISSION is front and center. #breathethemissionintoyourevent #auctionhorizon #fundraising https://lnkd.in/eW4rarg5

🌟 Investigating the Impact of Football Sponsorship on Business Performance 🏆 A recent study from the European Sport Management Quarterly delves into the correlation between football sponsorship and a company's financial success. Surprisingly, the findings reveal that despite the widespread belief, football sponsorship doesn't necessarily lead to increased profits. Instead, it seems to resemble more of a charitable contribution rather than a direct boost to commercial performance. This study highlights that the financial performance of companies doesn't significantly improve with football sponsorship. Interestingly, it also points out that businesses owned by individuals tend to engage more in sponsorships and allocate larger budgets for these endeavors. #Sponsorship #BusinessPerformance #ResearchInsights

What better proof is there that you’re considered an expert in your field than being asked to author an article on the subject in a respected industry magazine? Being invited back to author another article for their special 100th edition! With almost 30 years’ experience in matching corporates with not-for-profits, Hailey Cavill-Jaspers is the ideal choice for sharing her knowledge in the field. It’s fascinating to see how this area of philanthropy, social good and fundraising has developed, and I was proud to edit this piece. #FriendlyEditor #CSR #DoGoodDoBetter #NFP
So honoured to be asked to write for F&P 100th edition. This article talks about the evolution of corporate partnerships from the 90's to now, and some of the highlights of my 29 years as a corporate-cause matchmaker. Give it a read!

#Budget24 will hit #charity and #voluntarysector hard. We are employers, we don’t have guaranteed income streams like #PublicSector. We are the #essentialsector. We need parity with public sector on #NationalInsurance rises.
National Insurance rises for employers will have huge implications across the third sector. Listen to SCVO's head of policy, Kirsten Hogg, speaking to LBC about the effect yesterday's budget will have on charities and community groups. #Budget24
