Let’s unite against plastic water bottles, Chicago. As the Official Water Partner of the United Center, Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks, we’re helping fans, athletes and entertainers stay hydrated sustainably with cleaner, safer, better-tasting water. The United Center now offers its more than two million annual visitors a sustainable alternative to single-use plastic water bottles: Culligan's infinitely refillable and recyclable aluminum water bottles. Exclusively sold at United Center concession stands, the bottles are complemented by Culligan water fountains, refilling stations, premium faucets and recycling bins throughout the arena. Together, these create sustainable behaviors will reduce hundreds of thousands of pounds of single-use plastic bottles, most of which would end up in landfills and our oceans. Culligan is proud to present the Oceansaver accolade to organizations taking significant action to improve their sustainability practices and reduce single-use plastic waste. This year, we're honoring ROLAND and the Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden for their outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship. ROLAND Rechtsschutz-Versicherungs-AG has saved an impressive 201,856 single-use plastic bottles and 52,885 kg of CO₂ using Culligan water dispensers. The Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden has reduced their reliance on single-use plastic water bottles through our innovative Purezza system, saving 56,075 bottles and 14,692 kg of CO₂. At the start of July, many Culligan employees took the Plastic Free July pledge, committing to avoid single-use plastic products for the entire month.   Despite the challenges, Culligan employees shared innovative ways to replace items such as plastic grocery bags & water bottles.
