The HELLFIRE II is a precision strike #missile guided by semi-active laser (SAL) technology, capable of neutralizing a wide array of targets. Its versatile multi-mission, multi-target capability, and precision strike lethality provide field commanders maximum operational flexibility. The AGM-114R integrates all previous SAL HELLFIRE II variants into a single missile, featuring a multi-purpose warhead that can address diverse #target sets without requiring multiple warhead types. These targets include armor, air #defense #systems, patrol boats, and enemy combatants in buildings, open areas, SUVs, or caves. This consolidation allows pilots to tackle various scenarios with a single HELLFIRE loadout, making one missile suitable for many #missions. The missile's inertial measurement unit expands the engagement zone, allowing properly equipped platforms to strike targets behind them and to the side.
