Springwood alumni Ruby Goodchild is embarking on her chosen career as a chartered surveyor with Maxey Grounds - a firm of estate and land agents, chartered surveyors, valuers and auctioneers in Cambridgeshire. Knowing how passionate she was about the subject, Springwood was pivotal in securing her the role as an apprentice which sees her studying remotely while working within the industry for four years. Ruby says “It’s a really good way to get started in a career and when I finish my degree I will also have industry experience, and I have been paid from the start. Last week, we focused on celebrating our people. From the gathering of our current apprentices at our Careers Open Evening to launch our 2025 Degree Apprenticeship opportunities, to honoring our 2024 graduates at the annual presentation day. We welcomed graduates and their families from B+K and our group of businesses, including Innovaré Offsite Limited, Derry Building Services, B&K Hybrid Solutions, Munro Building Services Ltd, and Peveril Decorators Limited. This event acknowledged their achievements, hard work, and dedication in completing their degree apprenticeship or construction apprenticeship, and we proudly presented them with awards.
