CUNY Reconnect, a program that seeks to reengage New Yorkers who have earned credits and return to finish their degrees, is celebrating another big milestone. This fall, the program enrolled nearly 8,000 New Yorkers at CUNY, bringing the total of people served by CUNY Reconnect to more than 40,000 students, the majority of whom are women and people of color. We are deeply grateful to Speaker Adrienne Adams for making this initiative a reality — she pitched the plan, pushed for its funding and continues to be one of CUNY’s greatest partners.
