Australia can turn waste into road strength! This video explores using recycled plastics in road construction. The project by WARRIP and NACOE investigated using recycled plastics in asphalt, geosynthetics, and even traffic cones. Recycled plastics in asphalt show promise for some applications, in place of conventional materials. Initial environmental, health and safety studies appear promising, and the research indicates a potential solution for plastic waste in road infrastructure. Watch the full video here and visit the WARRIP website to stay tuned for further research www.warrip.com.au

The Neerabup project, valued at more than $40-million, will deliver a recycling plant to process waste tyres into crumb rubber, tyre derived products, reusable high tensile steel wire and reusable textile. And the company has now committed to install a remanufacturing line at the new facility. The latest grant, of $4.5-million, was announced by Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek and WA Environment Minister Reece Whitby as part of the joint-government Recycling Modernisation Fund.

We’re proud to announce that WICONA is investing €14.8 million in a new remelt plant in Atessa, Italy! This strategic move allows us to increase our production of CIRCAL 75R, our low-carbon aluminium made from post-consumer scrap. Thanks to our strong partnerships with clients and suppliers, we've developed a closed-loop system where old aluminium frames are collected, recycled, and transformed into high-quality, recyclable materials. Together, we’re driving circularity forward and making a meaningful impact on decarbonisation in the construction sector. This is a major step in our commitment to promote decarbonisation within the construction sector. By expanding our reach across Europe to reduce the transport between our clients and our remelting plants, more renovation projects can benefit from sustainable materials and urban mining initiatives. Together, we are transforming the way buildings are created, one recycled product at a time. This is how we Build Beyond Tomorrow. #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #UrbanMining #GreenBuilding
