Congratulations to Carrie Hoefer, PhD, MBA, associate dean of undergraduate and online pharmacy programs at #UBuffalo SPPS, on receiving the STRIPE Double Helix Award from the American Society of Pharmacovigilance (ASP)! STRIPE, which stands for Standardizing Laboratory Practices in Pharmacogenomics, is a continuing forum where public and private sector members collaborate to integrate personalized medicine into standard healthcare practices. The STRIPE Double Helix Awards celebrate individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions to the field of pharmacogenomics. Hoefer was recognized with the award for Excellence in Advancing Pharmacogenomics through Collaboration: honoring leaders who have driven significant advancements in pharmacogenomics by fostering collaboration across disciplines, organizations, and sectors. Their work has helped bridge gaps in science, practice, and policy, accelerating the adoption of pharmacogenomics. Hoefer received the award at the inaugural STRIPE Annual Meeting and Consensus Workshop, held from October 23-25 in Rockville, MD. The meeting brought together the pharmacogenomics community to develop consensus standards and strategies for advancing precision medicine and underscored the importance of collaboration and scientific achievement in expanding the reach and effectiveness of pharmacogenomics testing. I just completed Pfizer UK's Molecule to Market on Forage. 😁 In the simulation: - Completed a job simulation focused on launching a hypothetical new medicine. - Identified the clinical care pathway and prepared evidence to submit to NICE. - Created a brand positioning statement and presented a pitch for the new medicine. - Researched the needs of specific patient and customer types and created an effective go-to-market strategy.
