When Portland-based nonprofit Maine Needs outgrew their space, we were thrilled to support their efforts in finding a location to fit their expanding needs. The Boulos Company’s Samantha Marinko and Claire Richardson brokered the deal, and the nonprofit will move to a 16,000± SF space at 2385 Congress St. in Portland in early 2025. The expansion will allow Maine Needs to host more volunteers, have more room for back stock of popular items, and allow them to buy, accept and give more specialty items. This morning, Mayor Nichols joined community leaders regarding a new partnership with the Housing Partnership Network (HPN), which will help strengthen Tulsa's affordable housing efforts throughout the city. The Housing Partnership Network is an award-winning nonprofit collaborative of 100+ of the nation's leading affordable housing and community development organizations. With the help of CDFI Friendly Tulsa, HPN selected Tulsa due to the City's focus on affordable housing. The Anne & Henry Zarrow Foundation also provided nearly $1 million in grant money to help launch this initiative.
